WHMP (1400 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a news/talk format. Licensed to Northampton, Massachusetts, it serves the Pioneer Valley. It is currently owned by Saga Communications, and is repeated on WHNP (1600 AM) in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts (serving Springfield) and WHMQ (1240 AM) in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
WHNP and WHMQ previously simulcast sister FM stations; WHNP was a simulcast of WAQY-FM (as WAQY[1][2], WMRE[1][2], and WPNT[3]) until 2000[4][5] (it carried a promotional loop for Six Flags New England for several months after dropping the WAQY simulcast[4][6]), while WHMQ repeated WHAI-FM (as WHAI) until 2001[7].
The station is also heard on FM Translator W245BK licensed to Amherst.
