WCKA (810 AM, "Alabama 810") is a radio station licensed to serve Jacksonville, Alabama, USA. The station is owned by Leslie E. Gradick and licensed to Alabama 810 LLC. It airs a Classic Country music format.
Programming is simulcast on translators W232BS 94.3 FM and W246DB 97.1 FM, both licensed to Anniston, Alabama.
In addition to its usual music programming, WCKA weekday programming also includes local news updates several times each weekday, a one-hour tradio show known as "Tradeline", and high school football on Friday nights during the season. Alabama 810 is also the official home for Auburn Tigers sports in East Central Alabama.
In March 1988, HMS Broadcasting Company of Jacksonville, Alabama, reached an agreement to sell WJXL to Bussey Hayes Communications, Inc. The deal was approved by the Federal Communications Commission on April 29, 1988, and the transaction was consummated on May 2, 1988.
In July 1995, Bussey Hayes Communications, Inc., reached an agreement to sell WJXL to People's Network Inc. The deal was approved by the FCC on September 12, 1995, and the transaction was consummated on December 21, 1995.
