Void is the debut full-length studio album by the American post-metal band Intronaut. It was released on August 23, 2006 in the USA through the Goodfellow Records.

ÉVoid (album)

éVoid is the name of the first album by South African eighties rock group, éVoid.

Prior to its release, record company WEA (now the Warner Music Group) in August 1983 released the single, "Shadows", backed with "Dun Kalusin Ta Va". "Shadows" peaked at number three on the national charts in November.

It was followed up in February 1984 with "Taximan", which reached no. 6 on the South African hit parade. Later that year, "I Am a Fadget" was released as the band’s third single.

By September 1984, the album was riding high at the top of the charts, which was rare for home-grown acts more used to living in the shadow of overseas artists.

At the country’s annual Sarie Awards for 1984, éVoid took the award for “best arrangement and production of an album”, while the single “I Am a Fadget” landed them the “best contemporary artist” award.

Album

Albums of recorded music were developed in the early 20th century, first as books of individual 78rpm records, then from 1948 as vinyl LP records played at 33 ¹⁄₃ rpm. Vinyl LPs are still issued, though in the 21st century albums sales have mostly focused on compact disc (CD) and MP3 formats. The audio cassette was a format used in the late 1970s through to the 1990s alongside vinyl.

An album may be recorded in a recording studio (fixed or mobile), in a concert venue, at home, in the field, or a mix of places. Recording may take a few hours to several years to complete, usually in several takes with different parts recorded separately, and then brought or "mixed" together. Recordings that are done in one take without overdubbing are termed "live", even when done in a studio. Studios are built to absorb sound, eliminating reverberation, so as to assist in mixing different takes; other locations, such as concert venues and some "live rooms", allow for reverberation, which creates a "live" sound. The majority of studio recordings contain an abundance of editing, sound effects, voice adjustments, etc. With modern recording technology, musicians can be recorded in separate rooms or at separate times while listening to the other parts using headphones; with each part recorded as a separate track.

VOID is the fifth studio album by American post-hardcore/Hardcore punk band Vanna. The album was released on June 17, 2014. First album that released through Pure Noise Records. This album marks the change to their sound that feels more melodic and more aggressive, than their previous releases. The Album had its highest release and first appearance on the Billboard top 200 with sales over 1800+ copies and charting at #157 along with charting on Heatseeker (#20). This attributed to their successful appearance on the 2014 Vans Warped Tour.

NaNa (band)

NaNa is a Japanese musical duo from Tokyo, Japan, consisting of Chikako Watanabe and Shigeo Tamaru. Their music draws on several influences including alternative rock, experimental rock, trip hop and downtempo.

History

Chikako Watanabe (vocal) and Shigeo Tamaru (guitar/producer) came together to form NaNa in 1996. NaNa's chief goal was to create high quality demo tapes that would showcase their music to the world market. In the summer of 1997, NaNa got an offer from Ryuichi Sakamoto to be on his Radio show, and they appeared on the program. This led NaNa into their debut from Sakamoto's label. NaNa's first EP topped the Indies chart including Tower Records in Tokyo. Afterward they released two albums and four EP from Gut/Forlife label and Warner Music Japan. In 2007, they started digital distribution on iTunes and Amazon. Then they have since increased the number of the listeners little by little in different countries. Starting in 2007, NaNa's tracks have gradually received air-play primarily in the UK and the US. As of 2010, their music came to be listened to all over the world via local and Satellite Radio, and BBC regardless of the type of Radio station. In 2011, NaNa was ranked on the Billboard Magazine's (USA) charts. They spent 13 weeks from February 2011 on the Billboard Uncharted, climbed to the 12th place. In December 2011, they ranked No. 41 place on the Billboard's "The Best of 2011" (Year-End Chart, USA).
