Voices in My Head is an EP by the band Riverside. It was originally released in 2005 through Mystic Productions, but re-released in 2006 through InsideOut Music. Lyrically, the EP is not a part of the Reality Dream series even though it was released between Out of Myself and Second Life Syndrome. The EP contains many acoustic passages on songs like "Us" and "The Time I Was Daydreaming" that do not appear again until the band's third full length album, Rapid Eye Movement. "The Time I Was Daydreaming", as well as "Dna ts. Rednum or F.Raf" and "Stuck Between" use electronic sounds, which was a newly introduced element in Riverside's music. A video for the song "Acronym Love" is included on the InsideOut re-release and can be viewed on a computer. The live version of "I Believe" is played with the standard instruments instead of an acoustic guitar, which is unlike what is heard on Out of Myself.

David Malone (independent filmmaker)

David Hugh Malone is a British independent filmmaker, Green Party politician, and author of The Debt Generation. He has directed television documentaries on philosophy, science and religion, originally broadcast in the United Kingdom by the BBC and Channel 4. He was also the Green Party's parliamentary candidate for Scarborough and Whitby in the 2015 general election. He currently lives in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

Documentary career

David Malone was born in North Shields and grew up in 1970s London. His father, Adrian Malone, was also a documentary filmmaker, who produced The Ascent of Man with Jacob Bronowski and directed Cosmos: A Personal Voyage with Carl Sagan. Malone spent nine years in America before joining the BBC Science Department and working there for nine years. He ended up joining the production team for Horizon, a regular documentary series on science and philosophy.

Malone then left and started his own documentary company, I-330 Films, and moved to North Yorkshire. I-330 Films was set up in 1995 by David Malone, and his brother James Malone. Malone was also listed as one of three Directors of becauseyouthink.tv, alongside David Paterson and Jan Klimkowski. Malone's Testing God was shortlisted for the Royal Television Society's best documentary series award in 2002.

Voices in My Head (Dot Rotten album)

Voices in My Head is the debut studio album by English rapper Dot Rotten, released through Mercury Records on 6 May 2013. Production was primarily handled by Dot himself and TMS, though Naughty Boy and True Tiger were among contributors. The album also spawned four singles; "Keep It on a Low", "Are You Not Entertained?", "Overload" and "Karmageddon". The album peaked at number 146 on the UK Albums Chart.

Background

In 2011, Dot Rotten was one of many artists selected to feature on the official 2011 Children in Need single, Teardrop, produced by Gary Barlow and Labrinth, which peaked at number 24 on the UK Singles Chart and number 7 on the UK R&B Singles Chart. A day after the single was released, Dot released his own debut single, Keep It on a Low. This hard work led Dot to be nominated for the BBCs Sound of 2012 along with 14 other artists, including A$AP Rocky and Azealia Banks, a poll that is aimed to promote upcoming artists. Despite not winning the poll, Dot was quick to release his next single, Are You Not Entertained? in March. He then released Overload in the summer of 2012, which is his most successful single to date, and Karmageddon in late 2012.

Voices In My Head

by: Denis Leary

I want you to get a gun
And head on down to Washington
I want you to climb up high
High in the sky and shoot them all
Th-th-they don't deserve to live
What did they every give to you? Na na na na na
You know what I want you to do? I want you to go upstairs to that
Apartment where that guy keeps playing that Barry Manilow record
"Copacabana" over and over and over again. I want you to ring the
Doorbell, and when he answers the door, I want you to stab him in the neck
With a Number 2 pencil over and over and over again because he must pay!
Chop him up and put him in the freezer and as you leave the apartment,
Light the place on fire!
CHORUS
Voices in my head
These are the voices in my head
Voices in my head
These are the voices in my head
You should dress up like a clown
Bark bark howl
Hi you never called me back. I got the pictures back from Thanksgiving. I
Don't know why you wear that earring. If your father was alive I don't
Know what he'd say. I was talking to Mrs. Corelli yesterday. You know
Bobby Corelli who was in your grade? He got promoted again in his law
Firm. He's making $175,000 a year now. Are you on drugs? Why don't you
Ever call me back? When are you gonna get married son? Isn't it about time
You settled down and got yourself a wife and got yourself a house and got
A kid, and got a car, and got a dog and got a lawnmowerk, and got a nice
Picket fence...
CHORUS
The voice in my head-
Why, why is it every time
I gotta wait on fuckin' line?
Why is it every time I turn on my television set I gotta see Sally
Struthers and those starving kids? Why can't somebody just send her a
Check and shut her and those god damn kids up? Jesus fucking Christ!
Where's Rob Reiner when you need him?
Why, why don't they drop the bomb
Right on top of everyone? Na na na na na
CHORUS
