Vishal Bharat

Vishal Bharat (born 20 November 1978) is a British Virgin Islands cricketer. Bharat is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break.

In 2006, the British Virgin Islands were invited to take part in the 2006 Stanford 20/20, whose matches held official Twenty20 status. Bharat made a single appearance in the tournament against Saint Lucia in a preliminary round defeat, with him scoring 12 runs before he was dismissed by Garey Mathurin, while with the ball he bowled two wicketless overs which conceded 10 runs. He later played for the team in its second appearance in the Stanford 20/20 in 2008, making a single appearance in a preliminary round defeat against Dominica, where he was dismissed for a duck by Liam Sebastien, while with the ball he took the wicket of Fernix Thomas in Dominica's innings to finish with figures of 1/25 from four overs. He also captained the team in this match.

Vishal (actor)

Vishal (born as Vishal Krishna Reddy on 29 August 1977) is an Indian film actor and producer who works in the Tamil film industry. The younger son of film producer G. K. Reddy, Vishal studied Visual Communications at Loyola College, Chennai and made an entrance into the film industry as an assistant director for Arjun. He then became an actor and played his first lead role in the romantic thriller Chellamae (2004), before going on to star in the commercially successful films, Sandakozhi (2005) and Thimiru (2006). Following a series of unsuccessful films at the box office, Vishal chose to create his own production studio and has since produced and worked on profitable ventures such as Pandiya Naadu (2013) and Naan Sigappu Manithan (2014).

Vishal was elected as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam in October 2015 after initiating a movement against the previous committee.

Early life

Vishal Krishna was born to G. K. Reddy and Janaki Devi on 29 August 1977. His father was a film producer for Telugu and Tamil films and his family settled in Chennai. His elder brother, Vikram Krishna has produced several of Vishal's films and had previously appeared as an actor in films under the screen name of Ajay. Vishal also has a younger sister, Aishwarya. Vishal obtained his secondary education from Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School before securing a degree in visual communications from Loyola College, Chennai .

Bharat clan

The Bharat are a clan of Rajputs, found in Pind Dadan Khan (tehsil) of Jhelum District of Punjab, Pakistan. Bharatha also Bharatakula are a Sri Lankan caste of Paravar immigrants from Tamil Nadu in India.

Although now a small clan, the tribe claims descent from the Bhāratas, an ancient Hindu tribe mentioned in the Hindu epic, the Rigveda. If this claim is true, it would make this small clan of Muslim Rajputs the last remnant of this ancient race. The Bharat claim to be a Suryavansha clan, and are said to have converted to Islam in the 16th Century, at the hands of Jalap a famous Pir (Muslim holyman), who is buried in Ramdiani in the Sargodha District. They now occupy a number of villages along the bank of the Jhelum River in the Pind Dadan Khan tehsil.

Bharata's are to be found all over Sri Lanka. Amongst Sri Lankan Tamils Bharata's are still a trading community. The Bharatas or Bharatakula identity is maintained by a relatively prosperous merchant group from India that settled amongst the Sinhalese in the Negombo area.
