Virodhi (1992 film)

Virodhi is a 1992 Indian Bollywood film produced and directed by Rajkumar Kohli. It stars Dharmendra, Sunil Dutt, Armaan Kohli, Anita Raj, Poonam Dhillon and Harsha Mehra in pivotal roles.

Plot

Inspector Shekhar gets involved in a drug racket case which involves ministers like Pandey Sahib & his alliances. When Inspector Shekhar tries to bring justice against them he gets killed by hooligans of Pandey Sahib. It's up to his younger brother Raj to avenge his brother's death by trusting LAW & JUSTICE or becoming "VIRODHI" by taking law into his own hands.

Virodhi is a 2011 Telugu film directed by G. Neelakanta Reddy. The film stars Meka Srikanth, Kamalinee Mukherjee, Ajay and Kamal Kamaraju in pivotal roles. The film was show cased among the Indian panorama section, at the 2011 International Film Festival of India. The film has won the Nandi Award for Best Feature Film - Bronze.

Plot

Political journalist Jayadev (Meka Srikanth) unearths several scams made by a politician (Ahuti Prasad) who in turn invites him to bribe him. The but idealistic Jayadev refuses to relent, and as they discuss, a group of Maoists attack the politician and kill him off and Jayadev is held as their hostage. Along with Jayadev, the group of Maoists led by Gogi (Ajay) head to their base camp in a dense forest. During the journey, their ideologies are tested; good and bad are exposed, in a dramatic way.
