Violeta Cela

Violeta Bravo Cela (born December 7, 1960) is a Spanish actress, model, columnist and voice actress. She is the cousin of Paloma Cela and second niece of Nobel Prize winning writer Camilo José Cela.

Born in Madrid, Spain, Cela began her acting career at the age of 15 in the theatre production Violines y trompetas and made her cinema debut with a leading role in the 1978 film Silvia ama a Raquel. In 1982 she played the main character Juanita in the Spanish television series Juanita, la Larga.

She has since appeared in a total of 69 films and 28 plays (including the classical genre, high comedy and musical). She is also known for her many performances in dubbing films as well as her role as an opinion columnist for Spanish national newspaper ABC.

In 2005 she starred in the opera La memoria de las aguas by Uve Müllrich of German rock band Dissidenten.

Chymotrypsin-like elastase family member 1 (CELA1) commonly referred to as elastase-1 (ELA1).Elastases form a subfamily of serine proteases that hydrolyze many proteins in addition to elastin. Humans have six elastase genes which encode the structurally similar proteins elastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. This enzyme has been linked to chronic pancreatitis . A study was done in which the concentration of elastase was measured in patients with chronic pancreattis and those with nonpancreatic digestive diseases. It was concluded that those who had the chronic pancreattis had elastase levels that were below 190 μg/g, (which was the cut off point in making that determination).

Elastase-1 was formerly designated pancreatic elastase 1. However unlike other elastases, pancreatic elastase 1 is not expressed in the pancreas. Hence this enzyme has been renamed as elastase-1. To date, elastase 1 expression has only been detected in skin keratinocytes. Clinical literature that describes human elastase 1 activity in the pancreas or fecal material is actually referring to chymotrypsin-like elastase family, member 3B (CELA3B).

Violeta Went to Heaven

Violeta Went to Heaven (Spanish: Violeta se fue a los cielos) is a 2011 Chilean biopic about singer and folklorist Violeta Parra, directed by Andrés Wood. The film is based on a biography by Ángel Parra, Violeta's son with Luis Cereceda Arenas. He collaborated on the film.

The film was selected as the Chilean entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards, but it did not make the final shortlist. It was awarded the World Cinema Jury Prize (Dramatic) at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival.

Release

The film was released on 11 August in Chile in 17 cinemas. About 6,000 people saw the film on the day of its release. There were not very many copies, so the film was not shown in major cities such as Chillán. After its box office success and an outcry by the press, it was shown more widely. It was released on 27 October in Argentina. The film was seen 391,465 times in 2011, making it the most watched Chilean film of 2011. The following year it was released at the Sundance Film Festival in the United States and later premiered in New York City at the Latinbeat film series held by The Film Society of Lincoln Center. Later in 2012, it was released in Brazil, the Netherlands, France, Peru Germany, Sweden, and Belgium. It appeared at a variety of festivals including Paris Cinéma, Biarritz International Festival of Latin American Cinema, Hamburg Film Festival, and the Stockholm International Film Festival.

Chayanne is the third album from Puerto Rican artist Chayanne, released on Sony on 1987, and his first album under that label.

Album history

Chayanne is the first album by the singer released by CBS Columbia (now Sony Music Entretaiment) and was produced by Ronnie Foster. "Fiesta En America" and "Peligro de Amor" peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart. "Fiesta En America" ranked 49th in the 2008 recap for the '100 Greatest Songs of the 80's in Spanish' by VH1 Latin America. In 1988, the album was released in Portuguese for Brazil which included "Não Posso Mais Viver Assim" in a never released version in Spanish. In the 1988 release, the song, "Una Luna Para Dos", was removed and replaced with "Esperanza". The album was reissued on Compact Disc on December 28, 1989.
