Vil Ambu

Vil Ambu is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language thriller film written and directed by Ramesh Subramaniam and presented by Suseenthiran. The film features Sri, Harish Kalyan, Samskruthy Shenoy, Srushti Dange and Chandini Tamilarasan in the leading roles, while Harish Uthaman plays a pivotal supporting role. The film, featuring music by Navin, will release in February 2016.

Production

Following the success of Jeeva (2014), Suseenthiran announced that his next film revolve around events taking place in South Chennai. Suseenthiran subsequently announced that Harish Kalyan and Sri would be seen in the leading roles, while Harish Uthaman and Nandakumar would play the villains.Samskruthy Shenoy, who had previously been seen in Malayalam films, was signed on to play one of the three leading female roles. The other two roles were given to Srushti Dange and Chandini Tamilarasan, who would play a college student and a slum dweller, respectively. Navin, who composed music for Kalyana Samayal Saadham (2013), was chosen to compose the film's music, while Star Productions and Nallu Studios co-produce the venture. Despite reports which claimed Suseenthiran himself would direct it, he chose to only present it and newcomer Ramesh was signed as director.

Ezrin

Ezrin also known as cytovillin or villin-2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EZR gene.

Structure

The N-terminus of ezrin contains a FERM domain which is further subdivided into three subdomains. The C-terminus contain a ERM domain.

Function

The cytoplasmic peripheral membrane protein encoded by this gene functions as a protein-tyrosine kinase substrate in microvilli. As a member of the ERM protein family, this protein serves as an intermediate between the plasma membrane and the actin cytoskeleton. It plays a key role in cell surface structure adhesion, migration, and organization.

The N-terminal FERM domain strongly binds sodium-hydrogen exchanger regulatory factor (NHERF) proteins (involving long-range allostery). The C-terminal binds to actin, phosphatidylinositol(4,5)bis-phosphate (PIP2) and membrane proteins like CD44 and ICAM-2.
