Vikram Singh (IPS)

Dr. Vikram Singh (22 May 1950) is an Indian educationist and retired Indian Police Service (IPS) officer. He joined the IPS in 1974, and held the post of Director General of Police in the state of Uttar Pradesh during the period June 2007 – September 2009. He retired from the IPS in May 2010.

He completed M.Sc from Allahabad University in 1972 and PhD (Ecology) from Kumaun University in 1990. During his service, he has twice received President's Police Medal for his long distinguished and meritorious services. He has also authored two books; one entitled "Ecosystems of Central Himalayas" and the other one on "Human Rights and Police" (NHRC Award Winner).

Dr. Vikram Singh is rated as a "Star Speaker" on vital issues related to security, man-management, crisis resolution and team building etc. He has been a guest speaker at over 50 renowned institutes; IIM Lucknow, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University, National Institute of Criminology & Forensic Science, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, National Crime Records Bureau, Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Judicial Training and Research Institute, State Planning Institute (U.P) to name a few of them.

Vikram Singh known as Ranjha is an Indian film actor from New delhi, New Delhi, He is currently working for various Hindi films and is popularly known as Locovicky among his fans. He started his acting career, from the movie called Mumbai Godfather (2005), which was directed by Deepak Balraj Vij. Mumbai godfather movie was released on September 2005. Vikram Singh has been roped in to play the role of villain in Dangal.

Vikram Singh "Locovicky" likes Fishing, sky diving, avid horse rider, sports car drifting, Harleys and many adventure sports New Zealand being his 2nd home for such activities. Whenever Vikram has free time from his shoots he flies down to New Zealand and re energises himself with thrilling sports and activities. He also loves performing stunts by his own in his movies.

Early life

Vikram Singh was born in Sirsa, Haryana, India to Dr. Surender Verma a teacher and a well known poet and theater personality and Chand Verma as mother. His younger brother Gajendra Verma is the known singer of the viral song “Emptiness – Tune Mere Jaana”.

Career

Vikram has worked as National Sound Designer for an Indian FM Radio Channel 94.3 MyFm. He has produced more than 300 radio and TV jingles nationally and internationally. He is best known for his work as music producer/director for singles like Emptiness - Tune Mere Jaana which was a viral song and crossed over 30 million hits and downloads on the internet, Phir Sun, Saajna Re & Tujse Door Jo Hota hu. As a music composer he has worked for regional and Indian cinema and as music composer/arranger worked on background scores for Indian TV serials on Channel V, Starplus & DD National.

Vikram Singh (politician)

Vikram Singh is an Indian politician from Fatehpur, Uttar Pradesh, affiliated with Bhartiya Janata Party. He is member of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, won election in 2014.
