Vetri Selvan is a 2014 Indian Tamil thriller drama film directed by Rudhran featuring Ajmal Ameer and Radhika Apte in the lead roles. Produced on Srushti Cinemas banner&Silicon Studios. The film has screening in 125 theatres. the film has singer Mano, Sherrif and Ganja Karuppu in pivotal roles. It was the last film of child actress Taruni Sachdev. The original music and background score of the film were composed by Mani Sharma, cinematography was handled by Ramesh Kumar, while editing was by Kishore Te.Vetri Selvan revolves around three youth who have been rejected by the society and how they try to reform it. It was released on 19 June 2014.
The film began shoot in March 2012, with director Rudhran revealing he had originally written the script with Vijay in mind to play the lead role. Ajmal was signed for the lead role, that of a student, and singer Mano was reported to play a "prominent character", that of a professor in the film, acting in a film again after Singaravelan; Sherif, winner of a reality show, was given the role of a dancer.

Vetri made his debut as a cinematographer with the action drama Thenavattu (2008), before working on the comedy Maasilamani (2009) and the successful horror film, Muni 2: Kanchana (2011) with Raghava Lawrence. Vetri has often collaborated with director Siva and has been a part of his Telugu films,souryam(2008) Sankham (2009) and Daruvu (2012), as well as his Tamil films with Ajith Kumar, Veeram (2014) and Vedalam (2015). The pair had earlier studied together at Adayar Film Institute.
