Kingdom Hearts is a series of action role-playing games developed and published by Square Enix (formerly Square). It is the result of a collaboration between Square Enix and Disney Interactive Studios. Kingdom Hearts is a crossover of various Disney settings based in a universe made specifically for the series. The series features a mixture of familiar Disney, Final Fantasy and The World Ends with You characters, as well as several new characters designed by Tetsuya Nomura. In addition, it has an all-star voice cast which includes many of the Disney characters' official voice actors.
The series centers on Sora's search for his friends and his encounters with various Disney and Final Fantasy characters along the way. Players primarily control Sora, though there are numerous characters that join Sora's party as computer controlled members. The majority of the characters were introduced in the original game Kingdom Hearts. Subsequent installments including Chain of Memories, Kingdom Hearts II, 358/2 Days, Birth by Sleep and coded featured several new original, Disney and Final Fantasy characters while the most recent game Dream Drop Distance introduces several characters from Square Enix's The World Ends with You.
Ven (Danish and older Swedish spelling Hven) is a small Swedish island in the Øresund strait, between Scania and Zealand (Denmark). It is part of Landskrona Municipality, Skåne County. The island has 371 inhabitants and an area of 7.5 km2 (2.9 sq mi). During the 1930s, the population was at its peak, with approximately 1,300 inhabitants. There are four villages on the island: Bäckviken, Tuna By, Norreborg and Kyrkbacken.
Unlike the relatively flat islands Amager and Saltholm, Ven rises from the Øresund with steep and dramatic coastlines. This makes the island easily visible from both Zealand and Scania, as well as from all ships that sail in and out of the Baltic Sea. Its southern coastline resembles the White Cliffs of Dover, Møns Klint and Kap Arkona, but due to a higher degree of sand and lower of chalk, the 50 meter high cliffs are more yellow than white. Almost the entire island consists of a flat agricultural landscape, but elevated like a plateau. Due to the slightly higher altitude, the climate on the island in general is similar to that of the lower terrain coastal areas around Øresund.
Ego the Living Planet is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Thor #132 (Sept. 1966) and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.
Ego the Living Planet was initially introduced in the title Thor issue #132 (Sept. 1966), and was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby.
Ego was created by Kirby during a phase in which he was fascinated with the universe. Ego, the alien Kree, and The Colonizers immediately followed the creation of Galactus, thus establishing Marvel Comics' own "space age mythology." As Kirby recalled in 1969, shortly after the character's debut, Ego's genesis came when:
Ego returned as a protagonist in Thor #160–161 (Jan.–Feb. 1969), and made a guest appearance in #201. His origin is explored in Thor #228.
Following appearances in Fantastic Four #234–235 (Sept.–Oct. 1981) and Rom #69 (Aug. 1985), Ego had a recurring role in Silver Surfer vol, 3 #4–22 (1987–1989). The character returned in the 1991 Thor annual and issues #448–450 (June–Aug 1992).
Select is the second studio album by Kim Wilde, released on May 10, 1982 via RAK label.
The first single from this album, "Cambodia", was released in November 1981 and signalled a different sound from the Wilde camp, with an electronic and synth sound different from The Enid sound of her last album. The songs were again written by Marty and Ricky Wilde and produced by Ricky Wilde. The lyrics of the songs were similar to the first album: the second single "View from a Bridge" and the album track "Wendy Sadd" seemed to be about suicide, "Chaos at the Airport" described a nightmare about flying and "Ego" was quite the opposite of a lovesong. "Can You Come Over" was recorded at the Wilde's home. The cover image was a photograph from Gered Mankowitz.
This sequel to the debut album topped the charts in a host of European countries and hit #8 in Australia — although it did not surpass the success of its predecessor. The album was certified Silver in the UK.
Id, ego, and super-ego are the three parts of the psychic apparatus defined in Sigmund Freud's structural model of the psyche; they are the three theoretical constructs in terms of whose activity and interaction our mental life is described. According to this model of the psyche, the id is the set of uncoordinated instinctual trends; the super-ego plays the critical and moralizing role; and the ego is the organized, realistic part that mediates between the desires of the id and the super-ego. The super-ego can stop one from doing certain things that one's id may want to do.
Although the model is structural and makes reference to an apparatus, the id, ego and super-ego are purely psychological concepts and do not correspond to (somatic) structures of the brain such as the kind dealt with by neuroscience. The super-ego is observable in how someone can view themself as guilty, bad, pathetic, shameful, weak, and feel compelled to do certain things. Freud (1923) in The Ego and the Id discusses "the general character of harshness and cruelty exhibited by the [ego] ideal – its dictatorial 'Thou shalt.'"
Yo this is what happened:
Yo I woke up late it was like 10 in the mornin'
I was still half asleep and sleepy eyed, still yawnin'
I checked my voice mail to see who'd been callin'
I turned on my computer
Check my email logged on it
Junk mail, junk mail dog-gone-it
Everybody just tryin to sell me they product
But there was one email that just caught my optic
It said sucidal, took the mouse and clicked on it
She said " Dear KJ you don't know who I am,
You probably don't care cause im just another fan.
I doubt you ever read this, now but if ya can
Sometimes I slash my wrists and even cut my hands
And I feel all alone like nobody understands
And I'm gonna end it tonight I got the whole thing planned
Pop pills, leave a note on my night stand
Signed sincerely, Your Number 1 fan
[Chorus:]
Can someone now please help me
Will someone now just please help me
Can someone now please help me
Will someone now just please help me
[Verse 2:]
My heart is poundin as I start to type back
Why do you feel this way do you mind if I ask?
Whats the source and the cause of the pain that you have
How did you get this way, is it something from the past
God cares about you, I hope you understand that
Please don't end your life, I beg ya please write back
I finished typin', I sent the email quite fast
I bowed my head and prayed with all the strength that I had
She said "Man KJ I didn't even know you would write me.
Let me explain why noone could ever like me
It all started when my father used to strike me
Raped and confused every since 1990
He's gone now but I can't put it all behind me
I tried to run away but my pain would always find me
Is God really the one who can help me (yes He is)
Signed tonight your Number 1 Fan
[Chorus]
[Verse 3:]
Dear number one fan I gotta lot to tell you
But with the email there is only so much I can help you
See I know a Father who could never ever fail you
He'll give you a love when nobody ever cared to
I know you might feel like everybody hates you
And you feel like you got noone you can relate to
But death feels like the best place to escape to
But thats a lie that Satan, he just wants to tell you
I'm sorry that you were abused, your father raped you
But you gotta get some help cause nobody can make you
I know its hard to face but God will give you the strength to
I know you gots a lot of things you gotta work through
But with this help I know that you can break through
I seen it myself all the times He came through
Tell me what you think of what I sent you
I'll be prayin', Sincerely KJ-52
[Chorus]
[Verse 4:]
Yo, I'd be pretending if I said this story had a happy endin
But after that night I never heard from her again
That night I tossed and turned lyin on my bed en
Cryin and prayin with these thoughts runnin through my head en
Did she do it, take her life, or wind up dead en
Or did she not choose it, just listened to what I said en
Maybe she never got the last one I was sendin
Was it my fault was it something I shoulda mentioned
Every mornin I would just check my email
Checkin for any detail, hopin an prayin that shes well
My emails came back sayin that they'd failed
No such address for Number1Fan@hotmail
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to months en
Time would pass and I just heard nuthin
No letter no email no not even just somethin
What happened to my Number 1 fan I'm still wonderin
[Chorus]
