Vegusdal is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. It is located within the present-day municipality of Birkenes in the Sørlandet region. Norwegian national road 405 (Rv405) runs from Vegusdal to Mosby.
The municipality (originally the parish) of Vegusdal is named after the old Vegusdal farm (Old Norse: Veikolfsdalr). It is derived from the old male name, Veikolfr meaning "weak Ullfr" and the second part is the word dalr which means "valley" or "dale".
The municipality was established in 1877 when the municipality of Evje og Vegusdal was divided into Vegusdal (population: 935) and Evje (population: 870). In 1900, the municipality had 985 inhabitants distributed among 141 farms.
On 1 January 1967, Vegusdal was incorporated into the municipality of Birkenes. Before the merger Vegusdal had 582 inhabitants.
