Vasas SC
Vasas SC [ˈvɒʃɒʃ] is one of Hungary's major sports clubs. Most of its facilities are situated in Budapest's 13th district in the north of the town. Members of the Hungarian Union of Iron Workers founded the club as Vas-és Fémmunkások Sport Clubja, the "Sport Club of Iron and Steel Workers", on 16 March 1911. The club colours are red and blue.
The club is internationally best known for its successful football and water polo departments, which have won many national and international competitions. However, also athletes from other departments have won many Olympic gold medals as well as international and national championships. The football club was relegated in 2012 but returned to the top-tier in 2015.
The club’s women's handball team has been crowned Hungarian champions 15 times, and in 1982 won the Handball European Cup.

Vasas SC (men's water polo)
The Vasas SC water polo team is a department of the Budapest-based sports association Vasas SC. One of the most successful teams in the country, they have won the Hungarian Championship 17 times and the Hungarian Cup 15 times. The club also had major successes on continental level as they won the LEN Euroleague (formerly European Champions Cup), Europe's premier water polo competition two times and took the LEN Cup Winners' Cup title on three occasions as well.
Starting from the 2010–11 season, the club is officially known as TEVA-Vasas-UNIQA due to sponsorship reasons.

Vasas-Angyalföldi Sportiskola (English: Vasas-Sports School of Angyalföld, abbreviated Vasas-ASI) is a Hungarian women's handball team. It is part of the Budapest-based multi-sports club Vasas SC. One of the most successful teams in the country, they have won the Hungarian championship a record 15 times and in 1982 they were also crowned as the European Champions Cup winners.
Brief history
Hazena, the early form of the modern handball, had been played across Europe for years, when, in 1926, based on the players who were fired by MTE for political reasons, Vas- és Fémmunkások Sport Clubja was founded. Until 1928 there was not an organized national championship and the hazena team participated only in several invitational tournaments. Due to financial reasons the club suspended its operations in 1931.
After a financial consolidation the handball department of Vasas was reborn and entered the championship in 1938. The brightest year of this era was 1945, when Vasas won the second division title and gained promotion to the top level championship. However, just after a few years, due growing troubles the club decided to withdraw from the competitive handball once again.
