Karen Cliche

Karen Cliche (/ˈkliːʃ/; born July 22, 1976) is a Canadian actress. She's best known for her roles as a regular on the TV series Vampire High, Adventure Inc., Mutant X, Young Blades, and Flash Gordon.

She is married to Brian Mellersh since September 24, 2005. They have a daughter, born on 6 January 2010.

Jeff Roop

Jeffrey Robert Roop (born August 21, 1973) is a Canadian television, film and theatre actor born August 21, 1973 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He attended school at the Moscow Art Theatre and Carnegie Mellon University. In Montreal, Jeff founded the Arbat Theatre Company, as well as appearing in off-Broadway plays. Best known for playing Drew French in the short-lived vampire TV-show, Vampire High.

Jeff has appeared in American and Canadian television series as well as movies such as Free Money (with Marlon Brando). Recently, he has appeared in Code Breakers, an ESPN Original Entertainment TV movie, Before You Say I Do, and Canada Russia '72, playing Frank Mahovlich. He also played in the French comedy Hollywoo in 2011.

He is cousins with actor Adam MacDonald, who starred as Nick McAllister in Vampire High.

Biography

Jeff was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. At McGill University he began taking acting classes and performing in college and local plays while pursuing his finance degree. He attended theater school at the Moscow Art Theatre, in Russia, and at Carnegie Mellon University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His first professional television job was on "The Guiding Light" and his first professional theater role was an off-Broadway production of A.A Milne's "Mr. Pim Passes By".

Paul Hopkins (actor)

Paul Hopkins (born July 12, 1968) is a Canadian television, film and theatre actor known to US audiences for his portrayal of Michael "Mouse" Tolliver in the TV miniseries More Tales of the City (1998) and its follow-up Further Tales of the City (2001). These miniseries were sequels to Tales of the City (1994), which starred Marcus D'Amico in the role of Mouse. Paul is also known for his portrayal of Karl in the Canadian TV series Vampire High (2001–2002).

Vampire High

Vampire High is a Canadian TV series which originally aired from 2001 to 2002.

The show centered on a group of young vampires subjected to a daring experiment by the "Elders": taken in by a boarding school that also housed mortal teenagers, with the intent of civilizing the vampires. Many problems faced the students on both the day and night curriculum, including typical teen issues of love, friends and enemies. Professor Murdoch was on hand to help them along with their school work, but he too had problems that could put the lives of the teens in mortal danger.

During YTV airs episode fourteen, "Odd Man Out", the series made its debut in the USA on The WB Television Network on January 7, 2002 with the episode "Rules Are Rules", and ended on May 27, 2002 with the hour-long special, "Both Sides Now / Sunrise".

Synopsis

The opening title sequence featured Murdoch narrating the brief history of the experiment - "When The Great Eclipse plunged the world into darkness, the vampire race erupted in a civil war. The bloodthirsty 'Fury' battled the enlightened Elders for domination of the undead. In desperation, the Elders gathered up those young vampires that could be saved and entrusted them to me. To humanize them, to tame their instincts and teach them how to live among mortals."

Meghan Ory

Meghan Ory (born August 20, 1982) is a Canadian television and film actress. She is best known for her role as Red Riding Hood/Ruby on the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time and also starred in the short-lived CBS drama Intelligence as Riley Neal.

Life

Ory was born in Victoria, British Columbia, and attended Royal Oak Middle School and then Claremont Secondary School. After receiving the Fine Arts Award for Acting from Royal Oak in 1996, she began pursuing a career in acting.

Career

Her first professional acting role came in 1999 in the Fox Family Channel television movie, The Darklings, opposite Suzanne Somers and Timothy Busfield. A guest appearance on the television series The Crow: Stairway to Heaven followed, before she landed her first regular TV role on the Fox Family series Higher Ground in 2000, along with Hayden Christensen and A.J. Cook. After appearing on the MTV series 2ge+her (2000), Ory joined the cast of the Canadian television series Vampire High in 2001.

She continued working in television with guest appearances on The Outer Limits, Dark Angel, Glory Days, and Maybe It’s Me. She appeared in the TV movies, Lucky 7 and National Lampoon's Thanksgiving Family Reunion in 2003, as well as the TV series Smallville, Life As We Know It, and The Collector, and Family Reunion in 2004. Also in 2004, Ory made her feature film debut in Decoys, directed by Matthew Hastings, whom she had previously worked with on Higher Ground and Vampire High.
