Vermont Route 30 (VT 30) is a north–south state highway in the U.S. state of Vermont which runs from Brattleboro in the south to Middlebury in the north. The northern portion, from Poultney to Middlebury, was part of the New England road marking system's Route 30, from which VT 30 got its number. The route passes through many historic small towns, and travel writers such as those at Southern Vermont have described the route as "idyllic" and "picturesque".
In Poultney, VT 30 passes along the eastern edge of Lake St. Catherine State Park. To the north in Hubbardton, VT 30 runs along the eastern shore of Lake Bomoseen. In Middlebury, VT 30 serves Middlebury College.
From 1922 until 1926, New England Route 30 (part of the New England road marking system) ran from Granville, New York, through Poultney (via New York State Route 22A), continuing north through Burlington, to Alburg. The northern sections of Route 30 were assigned in 1926 to U.S. Route 7 (US 7) from Middlebury to Burlington, and to US 2 from Burlington to Alburg. Soon afterwards, Vermont extended the Route 30 designation southeast to its current Brattleboro terminus. (VT 30 to Brattleboro had been in place by 1933.) In August 2011, Hurricane Irene heavily damaged large sections of VT 30 and made it impassable for a period of time.
The following highways are numbered 30:
The Pennsylvania Avenue Line, served by Routes 32 and 36 (formerly served by Routes 30, 34, and 35 as well) is a Metrobus bus route in Washington, D.C., United States. Until the 1960s, it was a streetcar line, opened in 1862 by the Washington and Georgetown Railroad as the first line in the city.
Both routes begin at the Friendship Heights Metrorail station and follow Wisconsin Avenue to Georgetown, then Pennsylvania Avenue through downtown. Route 32 turns onto Naylor Road and 36 onto Branch Avenue. Route 32 ends at Southern Avenue station via Alabama Avenue, 36 ends at Naylor Road station.
Full-time service is provided by Routes 32 and 36, with select 32 trips running between McLean Gardens and Archives station during rush hour and select trips running between Southern Avenue station (32), and Naylor Road (36) to Potomac Park during rush hour as well. In the U.S. state of Oregon, U.S. Route 30, a major east–west U.S. Highway, runs from its western terminus in Astoria to the Idaho border east of Ontario. West of Portland, US 30 generally follows the southern shore of the Columbia River; east of Portland the highway has largely been replaced with Interstate 84, though it is signed all the way across the state, and diverges from the I-84 mainline in several towns, as a de facto business route. (The state of Oregon does not sign Interstate business routes; instead it uses the designations US 30 and Oregon Route 99 (along the Interstate 5 corridor) for this purpose.)
US 30 begins in Astoria, at an intersection with U.S. Route 101. US 101 southbound from the intersection goes down the length of the Oregon Coast, northbound US 101 crosses the Astoria-Megler Bridge into Washington state. US 30 proceeds east through the intersection, through downtown Astoria, and then along the southern bank of the Columbia.
Well let me tell you, about a girl
The only one for me in the world
She went a long, long way away with my heart
You red hot lips, your fingertips
Oooh, you make my heart flip-flip
You went a long, long way away with my heart
Whenever I was lonely you always used to come around
We gotta whole lotta lovin' and a whole lotta huggin'
down
And when I call you on the phone, to meet you way out
of town
Oooh well on that day, yea I caught you foolin' around
She told her friends, before she ran
There never ever be another man
She went a long, long way away with my heart
Whenever I was lonely you always used to come around
We gotta whole lotta lovin' and a whole lotta huggin'
down
And when I call you on the phone, to meet you way out
of town
Oooh well on that day, yea I caught you foolin' around
Mmmm, so sweet so fine
I really thought that girl was mine
She went a long, long way away with my heart
She told her friends, before she ran
There never ever be another man
She went a long, long way away with my heart
She went a long, long way away with my heart
