"Useless" is Depeche Mode's thirty-fourth UK single, released on 20 October 1997, and the fourth and final single for the album Ultra. It was released with "Home" as a double A-side in the US due to "Useless" getting airplay on US radio stations before "Home" was announced.

"Useless" is an industrial rock track in the vein of "Barrel of a Gun", with more of a pop twist. The single remix, by Alan Moulder, changes the intro and has an updated beat (similar to the changes done to the 7" versions of "Walking In My Shoes" and "Condemnation"), and adds some extra synth during the chorus. It also contains more grainy vocals. The "The Kruder + Dorfmeister Session" is a very prominent remix by the DJ duo of the same name. On the US single, the single remix is replaced by the CJ Bolland Ultrasonar Edit.

There are no actual B-sides for "Useless", except for remixes and live versions of the song. Some versions of the CD single feature the videos for "Barrel of a Gun" and "It's No Good", accessible when the disc is inserted into a PC.

Stargate SG-1 (season 5)

The fifth season of the military science fiction television series Stargate SG-1 commenced airing on Showtime in the United States on June 29, 2001, concluded on Sky1 in the United Kingdom on February 6, 2002, and contained 22 episodes. The fifth season introduces future main character Jonas Quinn portrayed by Corin Nemec from 2002–2004. The fifth season is about the ongoing war with the Goa'uld Empire after the death of Apophis at the start of the season and the rise of a new System Lord named Anubis. SG-1, a military-science team, are set to explore the Milky Way Galaxy.

The one-hour premiere "Enemies", which debuted on June 29, 2001 on Showtime had the lowest syndication of the seasons episode, but overall got a high viewership level. This would be the last season to feature Apophis alive, but he would return in dreams and alternate realities and timelines. The series was developed by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner. Season five regular cast members include Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, and Don S. Davis.

W.I.T.C.H.

W.I.T.C.H. is an Italian fantasy, magical girl comic series written by Elisabetta Gnone, Alessandro Barbucci, and Barbara Canepa. The series was first published in Italy in April 2001 before the series was released in other countries. As of January 2005, W.I.T.C.H. has been released in over 65 countries. The final issue of W.I.T.C.H. was released on October 2012, concluding the series' 139 issue run.

The series tells the story of five teenage girls who are chosen to be the new Guardians of Kandrakar, protectors of the center of the universe from people and creatures who wish to cause harm to it. For this purpose, powers over the 5 classical elements have been given to them. The new guardians are Wilhemnia (Will), Iremae (Irma), Taranee, Corneliya, and Hay Lin, whose initials form the title acronym "W.I.T.C.H.".

It is about a group of girls who find out they are the new guardians of the elements earth; fire; water; air and energy.
