Unstable (album)

Unstable is Adema's second and also final album to feature its original lineup with vocalist Mark Chavez departing from the band after its release and then again after their reunion. It was released on August 12, 2003. It has sold about 400,000 copies worldwide. Its radio single was the self-titled song "Unstable", which also had a music video, but it didn't get very much radio play. Many songs relied more on instrumentation and harmony instead of distortion in comparison to their previous album, but the album also has some of the band's most aggressive work. It was less successful than their first album, debuting at number 43 on the Billboard 200 before quickly falling off the chart.

"Unstable" is the first single released from the Adema album, Unstable. It is featured in Madden NFL 2004

Success

10,000 copies of this single were sold in the first three weeks, making it Adema's second most successful single to date, bar "Giving In". This song is also one of Adema's most popular songs among fans, being one of the songs played at almost every show. The song is also featured on the soundtrack of Madden NFL 2004.

Music video

The music video depicts the band playing in a desert like location, with sandy gusts of wind billowing around them. The video occasionally cuts away to Mark Chavez, the lead vocalist, as he runs through a windy location, storm clouds everywhere, with a female floating around him. In the end, Chavez is lying on a roof protected from the wind. He reaches out to try and catch the female from driting away. In the end of the video, the house that Mark was lying on explodes, and quick-cuts of Mark Chavez and the woman holding hands are shown.

Unstable (Debian)

In the Debian jargon, unstable is the development distribution of Debian. It is codenamed sid (after the boy next door who broke toys in Toy Story). As unstable never becomes testing, this codename is permanent, contrary to the codenames of stable and testing, which have volatile codenames.

unstable has some newer packages, but suffers from an unusually high number of serious bugs, as many packages are new. In development periods, the number of bugs considered "Release-Critical" by the Debian project in unstable is typically between 2 and 3 times as many as the number in testing.

unstable is targeted at Debian developers for building packages to be uploaded to unstable, and other Debian users that know Debian well in general, master Debian package management, are good for reporting bugs, want to help the Debian project, and have some machines on which they don't depend.

Level (The Raconteurs song)

"Level" is a song from the album Broken Boy Soldiers by The Raconteurs. According to the band's official website, it was released as a U.S. radio single. Sophie Muller directed the live video for this song. The audio was mixed by Kevin Shirley and assisted by Jared Kvitka at Document Room Studios.

The song charted at number seven on the Billboard Hot Modern Rock Tracks chart. This made it their highest effort on that chart since "Steady, As She Goes" reached number one. The song, "Salute Your Solution", would reach number four in 2008.

Adema

Adema is a rock band from Bakersfield, California. The band formed in 2000 with members lead vocalist Mark Chavez, vocalist/guitarist Tim Fluckey, guitarist Mike Ransom, bassist Dave DeRoo, and drummer Kris Kohls. After their first two albums, Adema, and Unstable, the band was plagued with years of conflict and lineup changes. Ransom left the band in 2003 due to conflicts with Chavez followed by Chavez later in 2004 due to conflicts with the rest of the band. Luke Caraccioli replaced Chavez in early 2005 for one album, Planets, but then left a few months later in late 2005. Vocalist Bobby Reeves and guitarist Ed Farris, both from the band Level, were recruited to join as well, but only released one album, Kill the Headlights in 2007, before entering a hiatus. The band's original line up reformed in late 2009 and toured, but both Ransom and Chavez left again before any new music would be recorded. Since 2011, Fluckey took over lead vocals.The lineup released an EP, Topple the Giants, in 2013, which also featured new guitarist Marc DeLeon. However, DeLeon left the band soon after with Ransom returning once again, solidifying the current line-up. This current line-up contains all the band's original members, excluding Chavez.

Deck (ship)

A deck is a permanent covering over a compartment or a hull of a ship. On a boat or ship, the primary or upper deck is the horizontal structure which forms the 'roof' for the hull, which both strengthens the hull and serves as the primary working surface. Vessels often have more than one level both within the hull and in the superstructure above the primary deck which are similar to the floors of a multi-storey building, and which are also referred to as decks, as are specific compartments and decks built over specific areas of the superstructure. Decks for some purposes have specific names.

Structure

The purpose of the upper or primary deck is structural, and only secondarily to provide weather-tightness, and to support people and equipment. The deck serves as the lid to the complex box girder which is the hull. It resists tension, compression, and racking forces. The deck's scantling is usually the same as the topsides, or might be heavier if the deck is expected to carry heavier loads (for example a container ship). The deck will be reinforced around deck fittings such as the capstan, cleats, or bollards.
