Univé is a cooperative insurance company in the Netherlands. Univé presents itself as a nonprofit insurer, to express that making profit is not important and therefore has cheaper products.
There is no one single Univé. Univé is a cooperative association of 26 member cooperatives. These regional cooperatives have about 150 outlets in the Netherlands.
The central Univé organization consists of two large insurance companies, namely a life insurer, based in Assen and a health insurer in Alkmaar. The headquarters of the central organization is in Arnhem.
The regional cooperatives are themselves mutual insurance, which operate regionally. Each of these mutuals is in itself a provider of fire and storm insurances, and acts as an intermediary for the central insurance. The regional offices also sell other financial products such as life insurance and mortgages. Because the stated goal of the association is to provide the best possible services for the members (policyholders), the mutuals also offer other financial services products.
University College (in full The Master and Fellows of the College of the Great Hall of the University of Oxford, colloquially referred to as "Univ"), is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in England. It has a claim to being the oldest college of the university, having been founded in 1249 by William of Durham.
As of 2009, the college had an estimated financial endowment of £110m.
The college is associated with a number of influential people. Notable alumni include Clement Attlee, C. S. Lewis, Bill Clinton, V. S. Naipaul, Stephen Hawking and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
A legend arose in the 14th century that the college was founded by King Alfred in 872. However most agree its foundation was in 1249 by William of Durham. He bequeathed money to support ten or twelve Masters of Arts studying Divinity, and a property which became known as Aula Universitatis (University Hall) was bought in 1253. This later date still allows the claim that Univ is the oldest of the Oxford colleges, although this is contested by Balliol College and Merton College.
A university (Latin: universitas, "a whole") is an institution of higher (or tertiary) education and research which grants academic degrees in various subjects and typically provides undergraduate education and postgraduate education. The word "university" is derived from the Latin universitas magistrorum et scholarium, which roughly means "community of teachers and scholars."
The original Latin word "universitas" refers in general to "a number of persons associated into one body, a society, company, community, guild, corporation, etc." At the time of the emergence of urban town life and medieval guilds, specialised "associations of students and teachers with collective legal rights usually guaranteed by charters issued by princes, prelates, or the towns in which they were located" came to be denominated by this general term. Like other guilds, they were self-regulating and determined the qualifications of their members.
In modern usage the word has come to mean "An institution of higher education offering tuition in mainly non-vocational subjects and typically having the power to confer degrees," with the earlier emphasis on its corporate organization considered as applying historically to Medieval universities.
Last night I had a dream, dreamt I had it all I had it all
I had one truck, one car
Oneboat, one guitar
But all these things wouldn't get me too far
If I didn't have one of you
I work hard every day to bring home all my pay
I got one house, one yard
One dog who likes to bark
We'd be cold, living the dark if I didn't have one of you
One of you is all I want and all I'll ever need
One of you is all it takes to make my life complete
Chorus:
This is what I have, you have it all
I got one heart, one love
One dream I'm dreaming of
Wouldn't have known what to give it all to
If I didn't have one of you
One of you is all I want and all I'll ever need
One of you is all it takes to make my life complete
