Uniclass (Unified Classification for the Construction Industry), published in 1997 in UK by the Construction Project Information Committee (CPIC).
This is fast becoming Uniclass2 as of 2013. A change that sees the 15 original Uniclass tables reduced to 7 (although more may be added). Uniclass2 features increased scope, depth and consistency of information covering all aspects and disciplines of the built environment, including infrastructure and process engineering.
What follows is the original entry for the initial Uniclass system (note that Uniclass2 should be used instead, see the "External links" section):
Uniclass is a new classification scheme for the construction industry. It is intended for organising library materials and for structuring product literature and project information. It incorporates both CAWS (Common Arrangement of Work Sections for building works) and EPIC (Electronic Product Information Co-operation), a new system for structuring product data and product literature.
The bills are late, the grass is brown
Got the only porch that's falling down
In the neighborhood
But it's all good
Work is slow, could use more pay
Ain't no hero gonna save the day
Like in Hollywood
But it's all good
'Cause it's a sunny day, I got a beer
Gonna drink it sitting here in the shade
I'm as happy as a man could be
As long as you're here next to me, I got it made
The cable's out, the screen door's stuck
And that old truck, it doesn't start right up
The way it should
But it's all good
'Cause it's a sunny day, I got a beer
Gonna drink it sitting here in the shade
I'm as happy as a man could be
As long as you're here next to me, I got it made
I don't get blue, I don't get mad
If I've learned one thing from the year I've had
It's even if it all goes bad
It's all good
