Charlie Wilson (singer)
Charles Kent "Charlie" Wilson (born January 29, 1953), also known as Uncle Charlie, is an American R&B singer, songwriter, producer and the former lead vocalist for The Gap Band. As a solo artist he has been nominated for eleven Grammy awards and six NAACP Image Awards (including one WIN), received a 2009 Soul Train Icon Award, and was a recipient of a BMI Icon Award in 2005. In 2009, he was named Billboard magazine's No. 1 Adult R&B Artist, and his song "There Goes My Baby" was named the No. 1 Urban Adult Song for 2009 in Billboard Magazine.
On June 30, 2013, BET honored Wilson with a Lifetime Achievement Award that was presented to him by Justin Timberlake. The BET tribute performances included renditions of Wilson's songs performed by India Arie ("There Goes My Baby"), Jamie Foxx ("Yearning for Your Love"), and Stevie Wonder ("Burn Rubber") but it was not until Wilson himself took to the stage at the request of Timberlake to perform his Grammy-nominated song "You Are" and then transition into a medley of hit songs performing alongside Timberlake and surprise guests Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams that Wilson stole the show during the youth oriented program. The Charlie Wilson tribute helped BET achieve the highest ratings in years for the program and also earned the network the #1 primetime spot in the 18–49 demographic topping all its broadcast and cable competition for the night in both demographics and total viewers.

Charlie Wilson (Ohio politician)
Charles A. "Charlie" Wilson, Jr. (January 18, 1943 – April 14, 2013) was a U.S. Representative for Ohio's 6th congressional district. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He previously served in the Ohio State Senate and the Ohio House of Representatives.
Early life, education, and business career
Wilson was born on January 18, 1943 in Martins Ferry or Dillonvale,Ohio. He was a graduate of Ohio University and the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He was a small business owner and was president of Wilson Funeral Homes and Wilson Furniture Store.
Ohio legislature
Wilson ran for Ohio's 99th House District in 1996. He defeated William L. Thomas in the Democratic primary 54%–46%. He won the general election and re-election in 1998 (50%), 2000 (68%), and 2002 (62%).
In 2004, he ran for the Ohio Senate when incumbent Democrat Greg DiDonato of the 30th District decided to retire after redistricting. In the Democratic primary, he defeated State Representative Jerry Krupinski 67%–33%. He won the general election with 67% of the vote. When he decided to retire to run for the U.S. House of Representatives, his son Jason Wilson replaced him.
Charlie Wilson (criminal)
Charles Frederick "Charlie" Wilson (30 June 1932 – 23 April 1990), was an English career criminal. A member of the Great Train Robbery gang, of which he was treasurer, he was killed by a hitman on a bicycle in 1990 whilst living in Marbella, Spain.
Early life
Wilson was born on 30 June 1932 to Bill and Mabel Wilson in Battersea, London. Possessing a heavy build, a handsome appearance and piercing blue eyes, Wilson was, from an early age, an intimidating presence. His friends from childhood included Jimmy Hussey, Tommy Wisbey, Bruce Reynolds and Gordon Goody. Later on, he met Ronald "Buster" Edwards and the young driving enthusiasts Mickey Ball and Roy James, who had taken up car theft.
From 1948 to 1950 he was called up for National Service, and in 1955 he married Patricia (Pat) Osbourne, with whom he had three children.
Early Career
Wilson turned to crime early in life and spurned his father's legitimate but low-income wage. While he did have legitimate work in his in-laws' grocer's shop, he also was a thief and his criminal proceeds went into buying shares in various gambling enterprises. He went to jail for short spells for numerous offences.
Uncle Charlie
Uncle Charlie is the fourth studio album by Charlie Wilson and was released on February 17, 2009. It features production from Gregg Pagani, The Underdogs, Bigg D, T-Pain and L.O.S. da Maestro. It features guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx and T-Pain. The first two singles from the album are "Supa Sexxy" and "There Goes My Baby", the latter receiving major airplay on the Urban and Adult R&B radio stations as well being named Billboard Magazine's number one Urban Adult Song for 2009. It debuted and peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 with sales of 58,000 copies in its first week. This was his highest peak on the Billboard 200 to date and so far has sold 362,355 copies.
At the 52nd Grammy Awards the album was nominated for Best R&B Album and the song "There Goes My Baby" was nominated for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
