Ñumí

Ñumí (Guaraní:Ñumi) is a district of the Guairá Department, Paraguay.

Is located to the south of the city of Villarrica, the capital of the department, and to the east of the San Salvador district. Is connected to both by wide roads. Is about 198 kilometers away from Asunción. You can get to this district following the Route 8 "Doctor Blas Garay".

The activities of the population are fundamentally agricultural. They also dedicate to the work of wood, although this last one has diminished lately.

The zone of Ñumí is of low prairies. This district has an area of 324 square kilometers with a population (2008) of 3,637 inhabitants. His population density is of 11 inhabitants per square kilometer.

Um (cuneiform)

The cuneiform alphabetic um sign, also dup, tup, ṭup, and DUB, the sumerogram-(logogram), for Akkadian language "ṭuppu", (= the clay tablet), is found in both the 14th century BC Amarna letters and the Epic of Gilgamesh. In the Amarna letters as um, it is found as um-ma in the introduction of the letters as "Message (thus)"...(and then the PN (personal name) of the individual sending, or authoring the letter).

In specific texts with dialogue, for example Amarna letter EA 19, Love and Gold, an extensive discussion is made by the king of Babylon about his father, ancestry, friendship between kings, envoys, women (for the harem, or wife), etc., and consequently the dialogue is preceded by um-ma ("quote"), then the dialogue by the messenger, (or the king).

Umê script

Umê (Tibetan: དབུ་མེད་, Wylie: dbu-med , IPA: [umɛ̂]; variant spellings include ume, u-me) is a cursive form of the Tibetan alphabet. The name means "headless," and is a style of the script used for both calligraphy and shorthand. A distinctive feature of umê compared to uchen is the absence of the horizontal guide line across the top of the letters. Between syllables, the tseg mark (་) often appears as a vertical stroke.
