Udo Fortune was part of the starting eleven of Sporting Afrique FC, when the club made its debut to the S-League Singapore League in 2006. Udo netted in 5 goals out of the first 10 matches for the club but unfortunately, a knee injury ruled him out for the rest for the season. His talents, however, did not go unnoticed as he was invited for a training stint with the Singapore U-23 team as he was in the process of recovering.
Thessenson Khalsa FC (Singapore)
Jan 2007 – May 2007
Udo was called on to play for Thessenson Khalsa FC as soon as his contract with Sporting Afrique ended and the club, due to controversy, did not carry on in the league the following season. There, Udo scored 14 goals in 14 matches and landed Thessenson Khalsa the 2nd spot of the 1st Division League that season. Impressed by his contribution and work ethics, Udo was called upon by officials of the club to play for Thessenson Khalsa FC's sister club, Balestier Khalsa FC, who are part of the S-League, for the rest of the S-League season.
