UK Youth

UK Youth is a national youth work charity founded in 1911 that delivers national programmes to provide opportunities to young people. The charity is an umbrella body with 40 local youth associations from across England. UK Youth's national programmes are delivered locally in partnership with its members and many are supported by corporate partners.

The organisation has six main areas of work including young peoples' participation, advocacy for youth work, accrediting non-formal learning, CSR programs with national companies and run a network of alternative education provisions called Youth Achievement Foundations.

Its headquarters are based at Avon Tyrrell Activity Centre in the New Forest, Hampshire, where over 20,000 young people take part in residential learning activities each year. It also has a London office.

Who's Who

The patron of the charity is Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, The Princess Royal. The current president is Nigel Mansell CBE. The chair is Anne Stoneham MBE who has been on the Trustees Board for over 20 years and is a highly respected academic. The Chief Executive, Anna Smee, took up her post on 1 December 2014.

Youth (2001 film)

Youth is a 2001 Indian Telugu romance film, written and directed by Jitendra. The film stars Vikram and Sri Harsha in the lead roles, who plays his love interest.

Youth (Citizen album)

Youth is the debut studio album by American rock band Citizen, released June 11, 2013 on Run for Cover Records.

Background and production

Citizen formed in 2009 with members located in Michigan and Ohio. The group released a handful of singles and an EP, Young States (2011). In March 2012, it was announced the band signed to Run for Cover.

Citizen entered Studio 4 with producer Will Yip (Title Fight, Circa Survive, Braid), in February 2013, to record their first debut album, Youth.

Release

On April 23, 2013, Youth was announced for release.Youth was released on June 11 through Run for Cover. On the same day, a music video was released for "The Summer". In November and December, the band went on tour with Polar Bear Club, Diamond Youth and Sainthood Reps. On December 4, a music video was released for "How Does It Feel?", directed by Rob Soucy. In March and April 2014, the band supported The Wonder Years. In September and October, the band went on tour. On October 6, 2014, a music video/UK Tour video for the second track, "Figure You Out", was released.

Youth (Collective Soul album)

Youth is the sixth studio album by Collective Soul, released in November 2004. The album was the band's first on their own label, EL Music Group, after leaving Atlantic Records following the release of their greatest hits album, Seven Year Itch. The album contains a more balanced pop-rock sound than their previous albums Dosage and Blender.

Background

After 2000's Blender both Ed and Dean Roland went through divorces. The band attempted to work through these circumstances and, according to Dean, at one point had enough material for two CD's. However said material was darker and the band wanted the songs to have "a more positive, 'light at the end of the tunnel'-type vibe " The band eventually scrapped the material and completely started over.
