U.S. Route 69

U.S. Route 69 is a north–south United States highway. When it was first created, it was only 150 miles (241 km) long, but it has since been expanded into a Minnesota to Texas cross-country route. The highway's southern terminus (as well as those of US 287 and US 96) is in Port Arthur, Texas at an intersection with State Highway 87. Its northern terminus is in Albert Lea, Minnesota at Minnesota State Highway 13.

Texas

US 69 begins at its southern terminus with SH 87 in Port Arthur. This intersection is also the southern terminus for US 96 and US 287, which are concurrent with US 69. US 69, US 96, and US 287 continue in a northwest, then west, route until its intersection with Interstate 10 in southern Beaumont. At this intersection, US 69, US 96, and US 287 merge with I-10. I-10/US 69/US 96/US 287 continue in a northerly direction through Beaumont for several miles. Just after the intersection with US 90, I-10 splits from the multiplex and resumes its easterly course, leaving US 69, US 96, and US 287 heading northwest through Beaumont. US 69 north of I-10 is also known officially known as Eastex Freeway, and is an official evacuation route, just as Interstate 69/US 59 heading north from Houston is known as Eastex Freeway as well.

U.S. Route 431

U.S. Route 431 is a spur of U.S. Route 31. It currently runs for 556 miles (895 km) from Owensboro, Kentucky at U.S. Route 60 to Dothan, Alabama, at U.S. Route 231 and U.S. Route 84.

Alabama

U.S. 431 is paired with unsigned State Route 1 throughout almost all of Alabama, with the exception Dothan, where it is paired with unsigned State Route 210. Within Dothan, AL 1 is also paired with US 231 between the Florida State Line and the Dothan Loop, and US Business Routes 231 and 431 in Dothan, Alabama.

The route takes a rather meandering path through southeast Alabama. It heads in a northeast direction to pass through Phenix City near the Georgia state line, then cuts back to the west to pass through Opelika; the portion between Phenix City and Opelika is concurrent with U.S. Route 280. From Opelika, US 431 swings back and forth between northwest and northeast as it works its way through the southern extent of the Appalachian Mountains, then turning northwest to pass through the Talladega National Forest, arriving at a junction with Interstate 20 a few miles east of Oxford. The combined routes travel westward from Exit 191 into Oxford, where US 431 splits off at Exit 188 and heads northward through Oxford and the adjacent city of Anniston; through this section the route is named Veterans Memorial Parkway.

U.S. Route 160

U.S. Route 160 is a 1,465 mile (2,358 km) long east–west United States highway in the Midwestern United States. The western terminus of the route is at US 89 five miles (8 km) west of Tuba City, Arizona. The eastern terminus is at US 67 and Missouri 158 southwest of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Its route, if not its number, was made famous in song in 1975, as the road from Wolf Creek Pass to Pagosa Springs, Colorado in C.W. McCall's country music song Wolf Creek Pass.

Arizona

US 160 begins at US 89 near the western edge of Navajo Nation. Near Tuba City, it intersects State Route 264. It goes through Tonalea and Cow Springs before entering Kayenta, where it intersects U.S. Route 163. It continues northeast through Dennehotso, then has a brief overlap with U.S. Route 191 in Mexican Water. It goes east until Teec Nos Pos, where it intersects U.S. Route 64, then turns northeast to go to the Four Corners and enters New Mexico.

US 160 is one of the major routes crossing the Navajo Nation and in Arizona does not leave the Navajo Nation.

King's Highway 136, commonly referred to as Highway 136, was a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario that connected former Highway 24 near Caledon with Highway 9 in Orangeville. The majority of the route was located in the Regional Municipality of Peel; however, the section in Orangeville was in Dufferin County. The route of Highway 136 was originally part of Highway 24; it was created in 1962 when Highway 24 was rerouted along Highway 51. The highway remained unchanged until 1997, when it was transferred to the Regional Municipality of Peel and the Town of Orangeville.

The majority of the former highway is rural in nature, passing through farmland on the highlands of the Niagara Escarpment, located a short distance south of the southern terminus of the route. Near its northern terminus, the surrounds are suburban as the highway enters Orangeville. The only notable community on the route outside of Orangeville is Alton.

Arkansas Highway 136

Highway 136 (AR 136, Ark. 136, Hwy. 136) is an east–west state highway in northeast Arkansas. The route of 7.87 miles (12.67 km) runs from Highway 135 near Rivervale east across Highway 140 to Highway 77 near Etowah.

Route description

Highway 136 begins at Highway 135 east of Rivervale. The route runs east to concur northeasterly with Highway 140. The route continues alone to Etowah, where it passes the Garden Point Cemetery and Edward Samuel Wildy Barn, both listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The highway turns east to terminate at Highway 77 at Carroll's Corner.

U.S. Route 136 in Indiana

U.S. Route 136 (US 136) is a part of the United States Numbered Highway that runs from Edison, Nebraska to Speedway, Indiana. In Indiana, it is part of the Indiana State Road system that enters between Danville, Illinois, and Foster, Indiana. The 75.30 miles (121.2 km) of US 136 that lie within Indiana serve as a major conduit. Some sections of the highway is listed on the National Highway System. Various sections are rural two-lane highway and urbanized four-lane divided highways. The easternmost community along the highway is Speedway, near Indianapolis.

US 136 passes through farm fields and woodlands, and along the central part of Indiana. The highway was first designated as a US Highway in 1932. US 136 replaced the original State Road 33 designation of the highway which dated back to the formation of the Indiana state road system. SR 33 ran from the Illinois to Crawfordsville. US 136 also replaced the second designation of the highway, State Road 34 from the Illinois state line to Crawfordsville to Brownsburg and ended in Indianapolis.
