Tyris Flare (ティリス=フレア Tirisu Furea), written as "Tyris=Flare" in her early appearances, is one of the main protagonists of Sega's video game franchise Golden Axe and the sole playable character in Golden Axe: Beast Rider. She was introduced as a princess-turned-warrior in the original Golden Axe in 1989.
In the early Golden Axe beat 'em up games, Tyris the former princess of the Firewood Kingdom, where she lived happily with her parents, the king and the queen. One fateful day, an evil army led by Death Adder invaded her kingdom. Her father and the kingdom's army tried to fight them off, only to be defeated. After her father was slain by Death Adder, her mother escaped with her to the canyons. After momentarily evading Death Adder's army, her mother told her to remain hidden deep within the canyons no matter what happens just moments before one of Death Adder's minion suddenly appeared and killed her. Tyris was then adopted by the amazons who trained her in the arts of swordsmanship and fire magic. Tyris has the shortest range among the heroes, but is most agile and has the most powerful spells; her magic attacks are all fire-based, including the summoning of a giant, flame-spewing dragon.
Let me out
Same wall, same look
I just wish I could destroy this room
Hidden away from the rotation of the world
Breaking my flaws, building perfection
I'm spitting guilt in the face
This is the last time you'll stand in my way
I'm fucking sick of searching for the home
I have within, I can't believe I am
Considering on giving in
But is there something left to be
Something left to please
This world keeps weighting down my shoulders
But mark my words, by the end of this day
I will, be inside your head
I always knew that I was meant for something more
It's time to break away, guilt won't stare in my face
(In my face)
I hate to break the news to you
But wherever you run
There's no truce to be found
I'm fucking sick of running, soon my legs are giving in
This place only acts as weights on my shoulders
Save me
I always knew that I was meant for something more
It's time to break away guilt won't stare in my face
(In my face)
I found a note, I won't let it go, let it go
