This is a list of the main characters in the Emmy-nominated TV series Everybody Hates Chris. The fictional family is loosely based on that of the real-life Chris Rock.

Note: While the protagonist is clearly based upon Chris Rock, the surname "Rock" is never used when referring to the character Chris or any member of his family.

Chris

Tyler James Williams as Chris, the ambitious, normal, responsible, kind-hearted, but unlucky, unpopular, untalented, nonathletic, nonacademic, hapless, awkward, nerdy, vulnerable eldest child and main protagonist of the series. He wishes he was more like his younger brother, Drew. Regardless of whether Chris possesses any of these traits, he's certainly never treated as if he does.(being disliked by the opposite race, unlike his siblings) He tries hard to fit in with his peers, but often finds himself a victim of circumstance. Chris is bullied at school (with little help from teachers or faculty members), tortured by his sister, shown up by his brother, victimized by the racist teaching staff, gets his money stolen by neighborhood thugs, does poorly in class, is underpaid at work, and receives tough love from his mother and distressing treatment from his father. As the eldest child, he is often put in charge of his younger siblings, but they usually disobey him. Next to all this, Chris is always the butt of the last jokes on each show. People just seem to hate him for inexplicable reasons. His luck improves as the series progresses. One of his talents is playing Asteroids and the other is calling basketball games. As he gets older, Chris becomes interested in stand-up comedy and begins telling jokes in school. At the end of the series- after he was late for class because of his repeating the tenth grade- he drops out of school and gets his GED.

The Twister is a fictional character, a comic book superhero who first appeared in Blue Bolt Comics from Novelty Press.

Publication history

Created by Paul Gustavson, The Twister appeared in short stories in issues #1 to #7 of Blue Bolt Comics, volume two (June to December, 1941). After that, he wasn't seen again for decades.

In 2009, he appeared in the Dynamite Entertainment miniseries Black Terror, which is part of the Project Superpowers line of comics; he then appeared in Project Superpowers: Chapter Two as an ally of the heroes.

Bob Sanders is a direct descendant of Odysseus, and thus inherited the curse of the wind god Aeolus to retrieve the "bad winds" Odysseus had accidentally released. When Bob was 14, a cyclone descended on his home town of Windy Gap and killed his parents, but Bob himself was lifted into the sky and brought back to earth unharmed. He wasn't unchanged, however; he now had the power to harness the wind and generate and control whirlwinds, and he had super-strength. Donning a costume and calling himself The Twister, he used his new abilities to combat evil. He also armed himself with a "Cyclone Gun," which shot powerful blasts of air.

Twister (ice cream)

Twister is an ice cream lollipop on a stick, launched in 1982 and made by Unilever's Heart brand. It is pineapple ice cream and lime flavoured fruit ice on the outside and strawberry fruit ice on the inside and is shaped in a spiral.

A smaller version, the "Mini Twister", is available in multipacks. Some Mini Twisters in each pack have the flavours reversed, so that the strawberry appears on the outside.

A "Twister Choc" variety with a combination of vanilla, chocolate, and caramel flavours is available in the United Kingdom.

In March 2008, Unilever launched a plum and anise flavoured Twister, which lasted only two months before being withdrawn following disappointing sales.

The Twister Coaster ride at the West Midland Safari Park has decorative elements that echo the Twister lolly. The roller coaster is of the Wild Mouse design.
