Turn It Up!

Turn It Up! was a musical game show that aired on MTV from June 30 to December 7, 1990. It was the second game show to be produced and broadcast on the network, produced by Albie Hecht, Alan Goodman, and Fred Seibert, of Chauncey Street Productions in New York.

The series was hosted by Jordan Brady with Stuffy Shmitt as co-host and announcer. Shmitt also provided music along with his band Zombo Combo.

Gameplay

Three contestants tested their musical knowledge.

Rounds 1 and 2

In each round, four categories each with three point values (10, 20 & 30 points) were displayed on a video wall. The player in control selected a category, then host Brady asked a question. The first player to ring-in had a chance to answer. A correct answer added the chosen points to the score, and chose another category & point value, but an incorrect answer gave the opposing player a chance to answer.

Round one was played with normal music questions, while round two was played with audio/video clips using the video wall.

Turn It Up (Pixie Lott album)

Turn It Up is the debut studio album by English recording artist Pixie Lott, released on 11 September 2009 by Mercury Records. The album's first two singles, "Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)" and "Boys and Girls", both topped the UK Singles Chart, while subsequent singles "Cry Me Out", "Gravity" and "Turn It Up" all reached the top twenty. Turn It Up peaked at number six on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry, with sales of 855,805 copies in the United Kingdom.

The album was re-released as Turn It Up Louder on 18 October 2010. It was preceded by the release of "Broken Arrow" as its lead single, and includes nine other bonus songs. In 2010, it was reported that Interscope Records was planning to release Turn It Up in the United States with new songs in early 2011, which never materialised.

Singles

"Mama Do (Uh Oh, Uh Oh)" was released on 3 June 2009 as the album's lead single. It debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart, making Lott the first British female solo artist to have a debut single enter atop the chart without previously appearing on a reality television show.

Turn It Up (Peter Andre song)

"Turn It Up" is the lead single from Peter Andre's second studio album, Natural. The single co-written by Glen Goldsmith was released on May 1, 1995 through Mushroom Records. It was Andre's first single to be released in the United Kingdom, peaking at #64 on the UK Singles Chart. The single also peaked at #67 on the Australian Singles Chart. The song features a rap from producer Ollie J.
