Tubelord were an alternative rock band from Kingston upon Thames, England, active between 2006 and 2012.
In 2009, the band signed a record deal with independent label Hassle Records and on 12 October 2009 they released their debut album Our First American Friends.
The band formed in 2005 while attending Kingston College by Joseph Prendergast, David Catmur and Olev Saunders. Over the next 3 years Tubelord would release several EP and singles as well as touring heavily around the UK and Europe with bands such as This Town Needs Guns and Tellison. After relentless touring Olev Saunders left the band and was replaced by Sean Bamberger. In late Tubelord released their debut album Our First American Friends, which was met with critical praise from Rock Sound, ThisisfakeDIY.com, and BBC. During 2008/2009 Tubelord referred to American music journalist Michael Azerrad their single "I Am Azerrad," which includes the line "I kill today, I'll kill you Azerrad," prompting Azerrad to contact them regarding the subject matter and write a humorous essay about the experience for Spin.
The day is on the rise
Connect four doubts
Conceptual synthesize
And make your own
The day is on the rise
The wrong way
Set the bricks in brine
You'll find us
Don't synthesize
When everybody asks for thunder
You'll blend in time
Instigate Ice-9
(x2)
Don't synthesize
When everybody asks for
(x2)
You'll blend in time
To instigate Ice-9
Climb a ladder and you'll find the truth
(No-one)
Just make room
Digging deep and tear your wires loose
(Robot)
Headphone suits
Speak to god and he'll just stare at you
Fill the blanks
Stick a needle through your hand to see
That the words that I heard when he spoke was a dream
Don't synthesize
When everybody asks for
You'll blend in time
Instigate ice-9
Don't synthesize
When everybody asks for
(x2)
Say we looked revered
You took us by surprise
Little did we know
He swapped his chest for gold
Crack the hinges fly
Share your treasured slice 5
Your stomach bloats and swells
You opened up!
At last took his heart
and hid it from his mothers love
Vandals reminisce
The hair was locked between ??
??
Say you looked surprised
You opened up tonight
A treasure chest of pirate glee
Say you looked surprised
A distant splash of memories
Your hands like all we see
