Tuas View is an industrial area in the south-westernmost region of Singapore.
It is an entirely reclaimed land south-west off Tuas Crescent and Tuas South Avenue 5.
It is home to some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies like GlaxoSmithKline and Pfizer. The Tuas Marine Transfer Station located on the western shores will transport the island's incinerated wastes to Pulau Semakau for landfills. Furthermore, the world's largest tunnel for storage of oil is being built in the south of extension. Two of the four incinerators in Singapore are also located in Tuas View. Currently land reclamation is being carried out in the Southern side of Tuas View in which it will stretch near to the sea border with Indonesia and it will be the southernmost point of Singapore mainland.
Panoramic views of sunset has attracted many young couples for picnic in Tuas View Park, located near Tuas Bus Terminal.
SBS Service 182 plies through Tuas View.
View may refer to:
In database theory, a view is the result set of a stored query on the data, which the database users can query just as they would in a persistent database collection object. This pre-established query command is kept in the database dictionary. Unlike ordinary base tables in a relational database, a view does not form part of the physical schema: as a result set, it is a virtual table computed or collated dynamically from data in the database when access to that view is requested. Changes applied to the data in a relevant underlying table are reflected in the data shown in subsequent invocations of the view. In some NoSQL databases, views are the only way to query data.
Views can provide advantages over tables:
View is the debut album by bassist Bryan Beller, known for his work with Mike Keneally, Steve Vai and Dethklok. The album was released in 2003 under Onion Boy Records. The album featured guest composers such as John Patitucci and Wes Wehmiller.
Tuas is largely an industrial zone located in the western part of Singapore. It is bounded by Tengeh Reservoir, Tuas Checkpoint, Straits of Johor, Tuas South Avenue 3, Tuas South Avenue 9, Tuas Road, Pan Island Expressway and Raffles Golf Course boundary.
The Malaysia-Singapore Second Link that links Singapore and Malaysia is located at Tuas.
Tuas is derived from a daytime fishing method uncommon these days. The coastal Malays floated coconut fronds and leafy branches kept close together by the rising tide. A large net was then spread and suspended below. The shade provided drew in the fish. More and more were attracted until, at a given signal, the net was hauled up by the Malay fishermen in the boats. Levering or hauling up is menuas, which became tuas. Tuas also means "to chop in two pieces", "to raise by leverage", and "to support".
The Tuas area in the early nineteenth century was referred to by three place names: Tg Kampong, Tg Rawa and Tg Gull — references made in Franklin and Jackson's 1830 map of Singapore.
The Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA or PIRA) was an Irish republican paramilitary organisation that sought to remove Northern Ireland from the United Kingdom and bring about an independent republic encompassing all of Ireland. It was the biggest and most active republican paramilitary group during the Troubles. It saw itself as the successor to the original IRA and called itself simply the Irish Republican Army, or Óglaigh na hÉireann in Irish. It was also widely referred to as such by others. The IRA is designated an unlawful terrorist organisation in the United Kingdom and an unlawful organisation in the Republic of Ireland.
The Provisional IRA emerged in December 1969, following a split in the republican movement. The Troubles had begun a year before, when a largely Catholic, nonviolent civil rights campaign was met with violence from both Ulster loyalists and the Royal Ulster Constabulary, culminating in the August 1969 riots and deployment of British troops. The IRA initially focused on defence, but it began an offensive campaign in 1971 (see timeline). The IRA's primary goal was to force the British to negotiate a withdrawal from Northern Ireland. It used guerrilla tactics against the British Army and RUC in both rural and urban areas. It also carried out a bombing campaign in Northern Ireland and England against what it saw as political and economic targets. The IRA called a final ceasefire in July 1997, after Sinn Féin was re-admitted into the Northern Ireland peace talks. It supported the 1998 Good Friday Agreement and in 2005 it disarmed under international supervision.
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
I really miss about black in the day
Had too much you know what they say
Been in the past that’s where you stay
thinking about first time stepping on stage
kick my little rash back when I was so grey
welcome to the crowd nowadays feel strange
walking on stage they don’t recognize my face
after the show standing in front of the place
they come up to me and say what’s your name ?
You're working on something coming up or anything
I will say: yeah but I don’t really know
thou spending every weekend in the studio
comming up with songs, they ask me what’s wrong
shit sounds hot, I tell them hip hop
I think about all the grace that came and die
still stuck in the year,
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
1995 1995 1995 1995
I used to hop on the train
Listening to Wu-Tang,light up Els in the stairwell with the butain
I am so different now I guess things do change
My old friends see me they be like you strange
My mother hay a problem with how I do things
Plan too many games with all my new flames
But I can’t stick around when it gets to plain
Oh baby just gotta go
I remember Brandy : The Boy Is Mine
I remember Monica at the same time
I remember rocking in St. Andrew's hall
different place every night yeah used to have a ball
It was just something 1995, close friends that died back then where still
alive
It was just the vibe, source, the vibe
even the red pages seemed so outdated
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
1995 was a wonderful time to be alive
