Troy Miller

Troy Miller is an American film producer, director and screenwriter. Miller is best known for his work in comedy and has been nominated for 15 Emmy Awards with two wins. Miller is known as an innovator in alternative comedy and reality, and has directed four feature films as well as directing and producing numerous TV shows and specials.

Career

Most recently, Miller directed and produced all ten episodes for Hulu's biggest original project to date, Deadbeat (TV series), which was shot in New York City and features performances by Tyler Labine, Cat Deeley, Brandon T. Jackson and Lucy Devito. Deadbeat premiered on April 9th, 2014 to positive reviews and was #1 site wide the day it dropped on Hulu. Currently, Miller has several projects in development through his production shingle Dakota Pictures. Previously, Miller acted as producer and director of the Netflix reboot of Arrested Development, along with the show's creator Mitch Hurwitz. Prior to Arrested, he also executive produced and directed HBO’s George Lopez: It's Not Me, It's You, a live comedy concert and one of HBO’s most watched events of 2012. On top of Lopez, Miller has produced and/or directed specials for a variety of many other comedians including Robin Williams, Martin Short, Katt Williams, Jim Gaffigan, Brian Regan, Dave Chappelle, David Cross, Kathleen Madigan, Jeff Garlin, and David Allen Grier. Also in 2012, Miller created / executive produced (with Russell Brand), Brand X With Russell Brand for F/X. In its second season BrandX became FX's first weekly live series (also directed by Miller).

Troy Miller (Neighbours)

Troy Miller is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Dieter Brummer. The actor relocated to Melbourne to film his scenes and his casting was announced in March 2011. He had a seven week guest contract. Brummer revealed that his turn in Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities caught the attention of the Neighbours producers and they later offered him the role of Troy. He also stated that the part made him enjoy acting again, after being away from the industry for several years. Brummer made his first screen appearance as Troy during the episode broadcast on 10 May.

Before his arrival on screen, it was revealed Troy was Sonya Mitchell's (Eve Morey) ex-boyfriend and the biological father of Callum Jones (Morgan Baker). Troy is an ex-army officer and a complex character. He initially appears nice on the surface, but there is a dark side to him. Brummer revealed that Troy does not intentionally set out to stir up trouble, but aspects of his personality often cause problems. He later stated that Troy knows how to push people to his advantage. Troy comes to Erinsborough after being contacted by Toadfish Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney). He discovers Callum is his son and sets about getting to know him better. He also becomes keen to get back together with Sonya.

Troy Transit Center

Troy Transit Center is an Amtrak station in Troy, Michigan served by the Wolverine. This station replaced Birmingham Amtrak station on October 14, 2014, and is located about 1200 feet southwest on Doyle Drive in Troy, Michigan.

Description

The Troy Transit Center brings together the services of Amtrak, Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) buses and taxis. Designed by local architectural firm Neumann/Smith, the one story, 2,000 square foot brick building includes a waiting room and restrooms; large expanses of glass allow natural light to flood the interior. A pedestrian bridge over the tracks allows access to the western platform and protects passengers from inclement weather.

History

In 2000, Grand Sakwa Properties gave the city of Troy title to 77 acres, 2.7 of which would be donated with the provision that funding for a transit center be secured within 10 years. In 2011, the cities of Birmingham and Troy were awarded a federal grant to assist in replacing the existing station with a new, multimodal transit center across the tracks in Troy. However, the mayor of Troy rejected the funding on ideological grounds, thus terminating the project. The $6.6 million project was resurrected by a subsequent Troy city administration, and broke ground on November 27, 2012, and was completed in October 2013. A legal dispute over title to the land kept the center from opening. In late September 2014, a settlement by Troy to acquire the land and lease the site to Amtrak was reached, and the station opened on October 14, 2014.

Craters cannot be named for living people, and small crater names are not intended to be commemorative - that is, a small crater isn't actually named after a specific town on Earth, but rather its name comes at random from a pool of terrestrial place names, with some exceptions made for craters near landing sites. Latitude and longitude are given as planetographic coordinates with west longitude.
