Trombay is a northeastern suburb in Mumbai, India, with Mankhurd as the closest railway station on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway.
Trombay was called Neat's Tongue because of its shape. Once, it was an island nearly 5 km East of Mumbai and was about 8 km in length and 8 km in width. The island contains several ruins of Portuguese churches from the 1620s and 1630s.
In 1928, the Great Indian Peninsular Railway opened the Trombay-Andheri line called the Salsette Trombay Railway or Central Salsette Tramway.
The original inhabitants of Trombay were fisherman (Koli's) - due to its proximity to the Thane creek and the Arabian Sea. It was called as "Turbhe" (not to be confused with another area called Turbhe in Navi Mumbai) in the local language. Pailipada, near Trombay Village, is also very old, having one of the oldest masjid in Mumbai.Trombay gaothan is old village of Koli family. Pailipada has majority Muslim population. In 1976 the Janata Colony area was relocated by BARC by order of the central government and formed as Cheetah Camp.
25, has anybody seen my life?
I lost it somewhere '95
Time stands still and time sure flies
Slower, faster everyday
I did tons of stuff today, and I did nothing anyways
And that's the thing, it's all the same
Nothing changes
(Chorus)
Have no hopes I have no dreams
I think to much and then I scream
What have I done?
I've wasted so much time, years of hanging 'round
Undone is done
I've wasted so much time, years of hanging 'round
I won't hold my breath no more
This is it, no less, no more
It's ok, I've come to terms
Still sometimes it really hurts
I can see, it's hard to take this seriously
And you might even laugh at me
But I'm way past self-irony, I mean business
(Chorus)
Happy memories, running 'round
I'm seven years old, frass beneath my feet, stay
outside until it gets cold
Cut to present day, I just stay indoors all summer
Whine my days away
What have I done?
I've wasted so much time, years of hanging 'round
Undone is done
I've wasted so much time, years of hanging 'round
I won't hold my breath no more
This is it, no less, no more
It's ok, I've come to terms
Still sometimes it really hurts
