In late 2005, Jimmy Ryan announced his decision to leave Haste the Day. His last show with Haste The Day was in the band's hometown of Indianapolis on December 30, 2005. Soon after that he got married and accepted a position at Tooth & Nail Records.

He started a new band called Trenches and in 2008, Trenches signed to Solid State Records and recorded their debut record The Tide Will Swallow Us Whole which was released September 16, 2008.[2] Lyrics for the songs were not included in the booklet, leaving fans anxious for their release. Jimmy Ryan has stated that he will not be releasing the lyrics, though. "The Tide Will Swallow Us Whole" was recorded, engineered and produced by guitarist Joel Lauver in 2 basements and an apartment closet. Mastered by T-roy at Spectre.

Trenches was scheduled to play Cornerstone 2009, but their name was removed from the listings. Trenches released a new song called "Ties That Bind" on their myspace page on April 30, 2009. It is labeled as a demo track, it is unclear when the song will be released. In September 2010 they announced their new album, "Reckoner", will be released soon. +/- (band)

+/-, or Plus/Minus, is an American indietronic band formed in 2001. The band makes use of both electronic and traditional instruments, and has sought to use electronics to recreate traditional indie rock song forms and instrumental structures. The group has released two albums on each of the American indie labels Teenbeat Records and Absolutely Kosher, and their track "All I do" was prominently featured in the soundtrack for the major film Wicker Park. The group has developed a devoted following in Japan and Taiwan, and has toured there frequently. Although many artists append bonus tracks onto the end of Japanese album releases to discourage purchasers from buying cheaper US import versions, the overseas versions of +/- albums are usually quite different from the US versions - tracklists can be rearranged, artwork with noticeable changes is used, and tracks from the US version can be replaced as well as augmented by bonus tracks.

    Trenches 2

    Gameplay

Trenches 2, like Trenches is a combination of Tower Defence and Castle Attack genres, the player must create soldiers in order to overwhelm the opposing force. It is largely based on attrition warfare such as World War I was. Unlike Trenches the game has 5 countries each with their own strengths and weaknesses. These being the French, Germans, Russians, British and Americans. The campaign is non linear as the player can choose what area they would like to attack on a map of Europe.

    Reception

The game was very well received on Apple app store, boasting a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. On other review websites the game was given poor reviews.

    Publishing

The game uses EA's Origin. EA’s distribution agreement with the game’s developer had previously expired, but as of February 28, 2013, Trenches II was re-released on the iTunes app store for free.
