List of My Little Pony characters

The My Little Pony franchise debuted in 1982, the creation of American illustrator and designer Bonnie Zacherle. Together with sculptor Charles Muenchinger and manager Steve D'Aguanno, Bonnie submitted a design patent in August 1981 for "an ornamental design for a toy animal". She was then working for Hasbro. The patent was granted in August 1983.

Flutter Ponies

Flutter Ponies are ponies with tiny bodies, curly hair, longer legs than regular ponies and fairy-like wings. They were first released in 1986. The Flutter Ponies may appear delicate, but in truth, they possess a powerful ability called the Utter Flutter, which allows them to blow away everything in their path by flapping their wings in a rapid speed. They are rarely seen, preferring to live in seclusion, usually in Flutter Valley. Honeysuckle, Morning Glory and Rosedust were the only notable ones in the first My Little Pony series.

Seaponies/Baby Seaponies

The Seaponies are brightly colored seahorse-like creatures who dwell in the rivers and lakes of Dream Valley. They love underwater polo and can perform elaborate songs and dance numbers. They were first released in 1983 and only appeared in the two original specials. The Seaponies are based on the Hippocamp, a mythological creature shared by Phoenician and Greek mythology. A sub-line of the Seaponies called Baby Seaponies debuted later in 1985 and later in My Little Pony: The Movie.

Ava Leigh

Hayley Carline (born 22 November 1985), better known as Ava Leigh, is a British reggae singer from Chester, England.

Career

Leigh's career first began when she started performing with her school's jazz band. In her "mid teens" she acquired a manager, and tried out for a variety of labels, singing R&B. However, Leigh realised that the genre "never, ever worked" for her. Leigh, in an interview with The Telegraph, attributed her mother for first getting her into reggae:

Leigh worked with writers such as Nick Manasseh, Future Cut and Feng Shui on her debut album, Turned on Underground. Partly recorded at Harry J's in Jamaica, the album was reviewed favourably and was described as having the "slick appeal of a US R&B princess." Her debut four-track extended play (EP) La La La was released on 5 January 2009.

Leigh's song "Mad About the Boy" was featured on the film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, and her version of "Mas Que Nada" was featured in a 2008 TV commercial for chain store Next's summer clothing range. Also in 2008, Leigh co-wrote Joss Stone's digital download single "Governmentalist", featuring rapper Nas.

Auburn Williams (born December 2, 1990) is an American singer-songwriter. Auburn released an independent debut album, Same Girl in 2007, which spawned the underground hit "Ewww Ewww". The song reached no. 6 on DJ Booth's Underground chart. She then signed to Warner Brothers and Beluga Heights in early 2008 and released her first official single "La La La" in mid-2010.

Life and career

1990–2007: Early life

Auburn began singing at a young age but didn't aspire to be a professional singer until 2009. She began using Myspace.com to share her music with her friends. She started gaining a big fan base and in late 2007, she released her independent debut album Same Giirl, which gained some buzz, and also the attention of J.R. Rotem, owner of the record label Beluga Heights. The album was preceded by a single, "Ewww Ewww", featuring Chellii-B, which reached number six on the underground hip-hop chart at DJBooth.net. In addition to singing, Auburn has also showcased her ability to direct and produce videos by posting homemade creations on YouTube.NyKhaila Guy a close relative of hers always pushes her to be her best she says.

"La La La" is a song performed by American electro recording duo LMFAO. It was released as the second single from their debut studio album Party Rock (2009) and first sent to airplay on September 8, 2009.

The song was used in a dance performance choreographed by Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo during the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards featuring Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy from Dancing With The Stars; Joshua Allen, Katee Shean, and Mark Kanemura from So You Think You Can Dance, and Quest Crew from America's Best Dance Crew.

The song garnered average commercial outcomes for LMFAO in the U.S., compared to those of their previous single "I'm in Miami Trick". The song reached its highest peak on the Billboard Hot 100, at number fifty-five.

Music and structure

"La La La" is an uptempo song that has prominent electropop and dance characteristics with influences of 1980s synthpop. It is lyrically about feeling "on top of the world" from having an obsessive love/compassion for someone. It is composed heavily of 1980's synthesizers, rhythmic hi-hats, and the usage of a vocoder during the song's chorus.

La La (Ashlee Simpson song)

"La La" is a song by American singer Ashlee Simpson from her 2004 album, Autobiography. Two weeks after it became available as a digital download in mid-August 2004, it rose to No. 37 on Billboard's Hot Digital Tracks. In the U.S., it began its run as the album's third and final single on radio and television in November 2004; in the United Kingdom (where it was the second single), a CD single was released in January 2005. The song's video was in heavy rotation on MTV by December 2004. In March 2005 the single was certified Gold, and in August the video was nominated for Best Pop Video on the MTV Video Music Awards.

Simpson performed "La La" multiple times on television in 2004. On January 4, 2005, Simpson performed the song live at the halftime show of the Orange Bowl football game in Miami, Florida. She sang off-key, and after singing the last line, the stadium audience booed her. Critics compared this poor performance to Simpson's revealing miscue on Saturday Night Live October 23, 2004, in which she had intended to perform "Autobiography" but the earlier recording of "Pieces of Me" was heard instead, showing that Simpson had been lip-syncing. Simpson explained the poor performance of "La La" was the result of an equipment failure, with her in-ear monitors not working.

Hard Candy (Madonna album)

Hard Candy is the eleventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Madonna. It was released on April 19, 2008, by Warner Bros. Records. The album was her final studio album with the record company, marking the end of a 25-year recording history. Madonna started working on the album in early 2007, and collaborated with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, The Neptunes and Nate "Danja" Hills. The album has an overall R&B vibe, while remaining a dance-pop record at its core. The Pet Shop Boys were also asked to collaborate with Madonna on the album by Warner Bros., but the record company later changed their mind and withdrew their invitation.

Madonna became interested in collaborating with Timberlake after hearing his 2006 album FutureSex/LoveSounds. Together they developed a number of songs for the album, but the basis of the development was Pharrell Williams' demos. Madonna had a number of songs written down for the album, which amazed Timberlake. They had intensive discussions among themselves before recording a song. Later, Madonna recalled that most of the songs on Hard Candy were autobiographical in many respects. However, according to her this was not intentional and happened while she was in the process of developing the album.
