A toy is an item that can be used for play. Toys are generally played with by children and pets. Playing with toys is an enjoyable means of training young children for life in society. Different materials are used to make toys enjoyable to all ages. Many items are designed to serve as toys, but goods produced for other purposes can also be used. For instance, a small child may pick up a household item and "fly" it through the air as to pretend that it is an airplane. Another consideration is interactive digital entertainment. Some toys are produced primarily as collector's items and are intended for display only.
The origin of toys is prehistoric; dolls representing infants, animals, and soldiers, as well as representations of tools used by adults are readily found at archaeological sites. The origin of the word "toy" is unknown, but it is believed that it was first used in the 14th century. Toys are mainly made for children.
Playing with toys is important when it comes to growing up and learning about the world around us. Younger children use toys to discover their identity, help their bodies grow strong, learn cause and effect, explore relationships, and practice skills they will need as adults. Adults use toys to form and strengthen social bonds, teach, remember and reinforce lessons from their youth, discover their identity, exercise their minds and bodies, explore relationships, practice skills, and decorate their living spaces.
In architecture and building engineering, a floor plan is a drawing to scale, showing a view from above, of the relationships between rooms, spaces and other physical features at one level of a structure.
Dimensions are usually drawn between the walls to specify room sizes and wall lengths. Floor plans may also include details of fixtures like sinks, water heaters, furnaces, etc. Floor plans may include notes for construction to specify finishes, construction methods, or symbols for electrical items.
It is also called a plan which is a measured plane typically projected at the floor height of 4 ft (1.2 m), as opposed to an elevation which is a measured plane projected from the side of a building, along its height, or a section or cross section where a building, is cut along an axis to reveal the interior structure.
Similar to a map the orientation of the view is downward from above, but unlike a conventional map, a plan is drawn at a particular vertical position (commonly at about 4 feet above the floor). Objects below this level are seen, objects at this level are shown 'cut' in plan-section, and objects above this vertical position within the structure are omitted or shown dashed. Plan view or planform is defined as a vertical orthographic projection of an object on a horizontal plane, like a map.
A line is a unit of language into which a poem or play is divided, which operates on principles which are distinct from and not necessarily coincident with grammatical structures, such as the sentence or clauses in sentences. Although the word for a single poetic line is verse, that term now tends to be used to signify poetic form more generally.
A distinct numbered group of lines in verse is normally called a stanza.
A conventions that determine what might constitute line in poetry depend upon different constraints, aural characteristics or scripting conventions for any given language. On the whole, where relevant, a line is generally determined either by units of rhythm or repeating aural patterns in recitation that can also be marked by other features such as rhyme or alliteration, or by patterns of syllable-count.
In Western literary traditions, use of line is arguably the principal feature which distinguishes poetry from prose. Even in poems where formal metre or rhyme is weakly observed or absent, the convention of line continues on the whole to be observed, at least in written representations, although there are exceptions (see Degrees of license). In such writing, simple visual appearance on a page (or any other written layout) remains sufficient to determine poetic line, and this sometimes leads to a "charge" that the work in question is no longer a poem but "chopped up prose". A dropped line is a line broken into two parts, with the second indented to remain visually sequential.
Titleist 915 Drivers
The 915 line is a line of new drivers, made by Titleist, set to release November 14, 2014 for the general public. The line comes in two models and introduces some new changes to the previous 913 design. In addition to being able to tweak the driver head, Titleist also pairs with Diamana and Aldila shafts, which provide many options for further customization.
Titleist releases a new line of driver every other year, the last line being the 913 set. Much like the previous 913 line, the D2 comes in a 460 cubic centimeter head and the D3 comes in a 440 cc head. The clubs still have the same visual look from above as its older models, but went through some radical changes regarding the bottom of the club over the last two years. This is mainly in regards to the “Active Recoil Channel” that was added just behind the face of the club. The face of the club also went through some small changes.
The Active Recoil Channel (ARC) is a fairly long, deep channel that runs along the bottom of the head right behind the face. The idea behind the design is that when the ball impacts with the face, the channel will "actively" flex and compress which will lead to lower spin off the face and higher ball speed. Clubs that don't have the channel tend to be more rigid and produce excess spin while losing ball speed.
Toy is an album by English musician David Bowie, recorded for release in 2001, and leaked onto the Internet in 2011. Although Bowie had begun recording the album intending to feature new versions of some of his earliest pieces as well as three new songs, its sessions led him to Heathen (2002) and it was never released officially.
Originally, Bowie had recorded the album Toy for release in 2001 or 2002. It was meant to feature some new songs and remakes of some of his lesser-known songs from the 1960s. Toy remains officially unreleased. In 2001, on his own site, Bowie participated on a virtual chat with fans and when one of them asked about the release of Toy, he replied: "I'm finding EMI/Virgin seem to have a lot of scheduling conflicts this year, which has put an awful lot on the back burner. Toy is finished and ready to go, and I will make an announcement as soon as I get a very real date. Meantime, I'm already started writing and recording for another album (untitled at the moment). So far I have to say it's back to experimental. But knowing me, it doesn't mean that's how it'll turn out. I shall be writing and recording throughout the summer, but daddyfying is really my priority at the moment."
Vítor Manuel Andrade Gomes da Costa (born 15 June 1977), commonly known as Toy, is a Cape Verdean footballer who plays for S.U. 1º de Dezembro as a forward.
Born in Lisbon, Toy spent the bulk of his professional career in his adopted country, Portugal, first starting in amateur football. In 1999 he signed with Primeira Liga giants S.L. Benfica, but played mainly with its reserves during his two-year spell.
Toy represented mainly S.C. Olhanense, first arriving at the Algarve club in 2004 then returning in the 2007 summer after a spell in Saudi Arabia. In the 2008–09 season, in the second level, he contributed with six goals to help his team return to the top flight after a 34-year absence.
In the following three campaigns Toy was relatively used by Olhanense, mainly as a substitute.
Toy opted to represent Cape Verde internationally, receiving his first callup in May 2008 at nearly 31 years of age.
Toy was a much liked chewing gum sold in Sweden.
Toy was created in 1930 by Marabou. In the 1960s and 1970s the chewing gum was an enormously popular in both Sweden and Norway and 600 - 700 tonnes of chewing gum were sold every year. Production was later taken over by Malaco who moved the manufacturing to Denmark. During the 1990s a few hundred tons of chewing gum per year was made, but in 1998 the production was discontinued due to increased competition, mainly from sugar free chewing gums. The launch of sugar free Toy failed. For the 70th anniversary in 2004 a special edition batch of 700 000 packs were sold for a short period of time. Years later, it became regularly available again.
Toy was sold in Sweden with the famous catchphrase Ta't lugnt, ta en Toy (=Take it easy, have a Toy). Another slogan used was Frisk i mun med Toy (=Fresh mouth with Toy).
Alice Babs starred in several advertising films with Toy singing: "Jag känns väl igen från kartongen/och kanske även på sången" (=I may be recognized from the pack / and maybe also for my singing).
God of Amenity?
More like rules the world.
But tonight she may fall,
Demon of insanity.
Will her strength last until
The end of days,
The end of days?
I shed wine
Staring evolution.
The stupids ignorant,
They must be choked by wine.
You must be a loving god
Who taste it out of time.
Should I drown in all your sense,
A world of mental demise?
While she falls on her knees
The angel flies,
But the people don't scatter,
They reunite.
After periods of firing
Insanity, the fires stop.
Then therefore you will rule, monarch.
Feel the strenght enter your soul, Maniken melt.
Stop the Demon and start
