Torrance Memorial Medical Center

Torrance Memorial Medical Center is a private hospital located in Torrance, California. Torrance Memorial Medical Center is a Magnet designated facility recognized by the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice. Torrance Memorial was founded by the estate of Jared Sidney Torrance in 1925, and merged with the smaller Riviera Community Hospital in 1967. The hospital moved to its current site (adjacent to Zamperini Field, the Torrance municipal airport) in 1971. Torrance Memorial was the first hospital in the Los Angeles South Bay region, and is currently one of just three burn centers in Los Angeles County.

Illinois Medical District is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Blue Line's Forest Park branch. Prior to June 25, 2006, the station was known as Medical Center. As the name implies, it primarily serves the Illinois Medical District and Tri-Taylor neighborhood, but is also close to the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks sports teams.

Medical Center station (Washington Metro)

Medical Center is an island platformed Washington Metro station in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. The station was opened on August 25, 1984, and is operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). Providing service for the Red Line, the station serves the National Institutes of Health campus and the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and is located at Rockville Pike and South Drive. Since there is little retail in the area and no commuter parking lot, this station is used almost exclusively by employees of and visitors to those two institutions.

The station opened on August 25, 1984. Its opening coincided with the completion of 6.8 miles (10.9 km) of rail northwest of the Van Ness–UDC station and the opening of the Bethesda, Friendship Heights, Grosvenor and Tenleytown stations.

In September 2009, Montgomery County submitted a $20 million federal grant application to build a pedestrian tunnel under Wisconsin Avenue to improve access to the Medical Center stop. Construction would have originally occurred in 2011, but the project was not approved until 2013.

Memorial Medical Center is an acute care hospital in Springfield, Illinois, that offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services. It includes the Memorial Heart and Vascular Institute, the Center for Neuromuscular Sciences, the Stroke Center, Emergency Services, Family Maternity Suites, Regional Cancer Center, Regional Burn Center, Urology Institute and Orthopaedic Institute. Memorial's ExpressCare facilities at Koke Mill Medical Center, North Dirksen, and South 6th Street serve the community's urgent care needs.

Memorial Medical Center is an affiliate of Memorial Health System. It was founded in 1897 as the Springfield Hospital and Training School. It is licensed for 423 acute care beds and is affiliated with Sutter Health, a not-for-profit association of medical service providers. The main directions of the Memorial Medical Center are cardiac care, cancer treatment, orthopedics, obstetrics, and newborn intensive care.

The hospital was founded on May 1, 1970 and at the time has 99 beds. It was affiliated with Sutter Health since 1996.
