Toothbrush

The toothbrush is an oral hygiene instrument used to clean the teeth and gums that consists of a head of tightly clustered bristles mounted on a handle, which facilitates the cleansing of hard-to-reach areas of the mouth.

Toothpaste, which often contains fluoride, is commonly used in conjunction with a toothbrush to increase the effectiveness of tooth brushing. Toothbrushes are available with different bristle textures, sizes and forms. Most dentists recommend using a toothbrush labelled "soft", since hard bristled toothbrushes can damage tooth enamel and irritate the gums. The predecessor of the toothbrush, the chew stick, first appeared in Egypt and Babylonia, and the earliest bristle toothbrush, the direct predecessor to the modern toothbrush, originated in China. Toothbrushes were introduced to Europe through merchants and travelers in East Asia by the 17th century.DuPont introduced the nylon toothbrush in the 1930s.

History

A variety of oral hygiene measures have been used since before recorded history prior to the toothbrush. This has been verified by various excavations done all over the world, in which chew sticks, tree twigs, bird feathers, animal bones and porcupine quills were recovered.

Wax (rapper)

Michael Jones (born April 5, 1980), better known by his stage name Wax, is an American musician, rapper, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer. He became a YouTube star after uploading several videos of himself rapping and singing. He currently resides in Los Angeles, California. Wax is widely known for his popular 2012 re-released single Rosana, which has been viewed over 35 million times on YouTube.

Early life

Wax is of Irish/Cuban descent and hails from Dunkirk, in Calvert County, Maryland. He grew up watching music videos and live performances on MTV. His biggest influences from his early childhood were Guns N' Roses and DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. Soon after in sixth grade he picked up a guitar and started singing and rapping Then in middle school he started listening to artists such as Eazy-E, N.W.A, and Too Short.

Career

MacGregor

From 2000-2005, Wax was the lead vocalist & guitarist of the 6 piece band, MacGregor. The band toured throughout the United States in the Midwest, the South, and New England, receiving a lot of local buzz in D.C. and Maryland. The group released 2 albums before entering a "super-extended" hiatus. The split was because members had obtained other jobs or engaged in serious relationships. During this time, Wax also released his first solo EP, Biatch!

Toothbrush (album)

Toothbrush is a studio album by Dr. Dog. It was self-released in 2002 by Dr. Dog, although the official release date and record label is speculated. Little is known on the official release and mass distributions of the album.

Stylistically, the evident roots of Dr. Dog's 60s pop style are apparent, only presented in a lo-fi quality, one that they are renowned for. The album is considered more of a starting record than Psychedelic Swamp mainly due to its availability on the iTunes Music Store and major online music retailers, such as Amazon .
