Tony (2013 film)

Tony (Kannada: ಟೋನಿ) is a 2013 philosophical thriller Kannada film directed by Jayatheertha. The film stars Srinagar Kitty and Aindrita Ray in lead roles. Indrakumar GV is producing this film jointly with Srinagar Kitty which is backed with Sadhu Kokila's music and Gnanamurthy's cinematography.

Shot extensively around the scenic locales of Bangkok and other places, the film speaks about a person who wants to make quick money and has three dimensional stories interwoven and ends up at a common point.

Director Jayatheertha, who made a successful previous film titled, Olave Mandara, announced his next feature film and titled it as Tony, a name which was already used in the Ambarish - Lakshmi starrer in the 1981s.

Promotion

Tony was widely promoted all across the Karnataka State. The film team also promoted in one of the most popular television shows, Bigg Boss hosted by actor Sudeep. The film is extensively shot in Bangalore, Mysore, Bangkok among other places. The film was also made news for spending big bucks for songs. Singer Raghu Dixit who crooned for a number in the film, performed at the sets. Sudeep also enthralled the audiences by singing a song.

Tony (Kannada: ಟೋನಿ) is a 1982 Kannada action film directed by H.R. Bhargava and produced by Mohan Sharma and Jairaj Singh. The film starred Ambarish, Lakshmi and Srinath in lead roles.

The film was a blockbuster with all the songs composed by Rajan-Nagendra considered evergreen hits. The same title name was reused in the 2013 feature film Tony.

The music was composed by Rajan-Nagendra with lyrics by R. N. Jayagopal and Doddarangegowda. All the songs composed for the film were received extremely well and considered as evergreen songs.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs

Supervisory Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (portrayed by Mark Harmon) was born in Stillwater, Pennsylvania to Jackson Gibbs and Ann Gibbs. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1976, and became a Scout Sniper. After serving tours of duty in Panama and Iraq, he retired from the Marine Corps with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He joined NIS, which later became NCIS, after his wife Shannon and only daughter Kelly were murdered in 1991. He later traveled to Mexico and murdered the drug dealer responsible, a crime he kept concealed for twenty years. Since then, he has been married and divorced three times, and is currently single, although he has had a number of romantic relationships since his last divorce.

Gibbs leads a Major Case Response Team (MCRT) consisting of field agents DiNozzo, McGee, and Bishop; supported by forensic scientist Sciuto and medical examiner Dr. Mallard and his assistant. In the episode "Bête Noire" Gibbs comes face to face with terrorist Ari Haswari and tries to kill him but fails. Finding Ari later becomes an obsession for Gibbs when Ari shoots and kills original team member Kate Todd in front of Gibbs and DiNozzo in the season two finale, "Twilight". He often shows frustration with his team (particularly DiNozzo for rambling or McGee for getting sucked into technical rambling) by slapping them over the back of the head, an action that is later shared between team members with this known as a "headslap" or "Gibbs-slap".

White

White is an achromatic color, literally a "color without hue", that is a mixture of the frequencies of all the colors of the visible spectrum. It is one of the most common colors in nature, the color of sunlight, snow, milk, chalk, limestone and other common minerals. In many cultures white represents or signifies purity, innocence, and light, and is the symbolic opposite of black, or darkness. In the Middle Ages and Renaissance a white unicorn symbolized chastity, and a white lamb sacrifice and purity; the widows of kings dressed in white rather than black as the color of mourning. It sometimes symbolizes royalty; it was the color of the French kings (black being the color of the queens) and of the monarchist movement after the French Revolution as well as of the movement called the White Russians (not to be confounded with Belarus, literally "White Russia") who fought the Bolsheviks during the Russian Civil War (1917-1922). Greek and Roman temples were faced with white marble, and beginning in the 18th century, with the advent of neoclassical architecture, white became the most common color of new churches, capitols and other government buildings, especially in the United States of America. It was also widely used in 20th century modern architecture as a symbol of modernity, simplicity and strength.

White and Black in chess

In chess, the player who moves first is referred to as "White" and the player who moves second is referred to as "Black". Similarly, the pieces that each conducts are called, respectively, "the white pieces" and "the black pieces". The pieces are often not literally white and black, but some other colors (usually a light color and a dark color, respectively). The 64 squares of the chessboard, which is colored in a checkered pattern, are likewise referred to as "white squares" or "light squares" on the one hand, and "black squares" or "dark squares" on the other. In most cases, the squares are not actually white and black, but a light color and a contrasting dark color. For example, the squares on plastic boards are often off-white ("buff") and green, while those on wood boards are often light brown and dark brown.

In old chess writings, the sides are often called Red and Black, because those were the two colors of ink then commonly available when hand-drawing or printing chess position diagrams.

White or White- (белый, бело-), was a political term used as an adjective, noun or a prefix by Bolsheviks to designate their real and alleged enemies of all sorts, by analogy with the White Army.
