Tony Jordan

Tony Jordan (born 21 July 1957) is a British television writer. He was listed as the number 1 television screen writer in the UK by Broadcast magazine (2008) and among British Broadcastings Top 20 in The Stage (2009)., He currently resides in Hertfordshire, UK.

For many years, he was lead writer and series consultant for BBC One soap opera EastEnders. Jordan had written for the programme since 1989 including the 2008 single-hander "Pretty Baby...." and is considered to be an 'elder statesman' of the show, for which he has written over 250 episodes as of 2006.

Anthony D. Jordan

Anthony D. Jordan (born 1934) is a former English badminton player who won numerous international titles from the mid-1950s through the late 1960s. Known for his quick and deceptive racket work, Tony Jordan was primarily a doubles specialist with his greatest success coming in mixed doubles. Between 1956 and 1968 Jordan shared four mixed doubles titles with three different partners at the prestigious All-England Championships. He played on seven successive English Thomas Cup (men's international) teams between 1951 and 1970.

Jordan won the gold medal at the 1968 European Badminton Championships in mixed doubles with Susan Whetnall.

Anthony T. Jordan (born May 8, 1965) is a former American football running back who played two seasons with the Phoenix Cardinals of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Phoenix Cardinals in the fifth round of the 1988 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kansas State University and attended East High School in Rochester, New York. He was also been a member of the Houston Oilers.

J. Anthony "Tony" Jordan (born 1964) is an American politician and former Republican member of the New York State Assembly, representing the 113th Assembly District from 2009-2013. He is currently the District Attorney of Washington County, New York.

Jordan received a bachelor's degree in business with a concentration in finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1986. He earned a law degree (magna cum laude) from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1995. He was a partner in the law firm of Jordan & Kelly LLC. Prior to being elected, he served part-time as Assistant District Attorney in Washington County.

In 2008, he was elected to replace Assemblyman Roy McDonald, who was running for the New York State Senate. Jordan won his November 2008 general election with 57 percent of the vote and ran uncontested in the November 2010 general election.

In April 2013, Jordan announced he would run for Washington County District Attorney. On November 5, 2013, Jordan ran on the Republican, Conservative, and Independent Party lines defeating incumbent District Attorney Kevin Kortright who ran on the Democratic line.

Jordan Village, Connecticut

Jordan is a village in the town of Waterford, Connecticut, and the historic center of the town. It was named from the Jordan River. The village was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Jordan Village Historic District in 1990. The district includes 58 contributing buildings and one other contributing site over an area of 57 acres (23 ha). It includes examples of Greek Revival and Queen Anne architectural styles.

Location

Jordan Village is located on land known historically as Jordan Plain, a flat land area at the head of Jordan Cove, an estuary off Long Island Sound. The historic district surrounds the intersection of Rope Ferry Road and North Road.

Jordan (Bishop of Poland)

Jordan (died in 982 or 984) was the first Bishop of Poland from 968 with his seat, most probably, in Poznań. He was an Italian or German.

Most evidence shows that he was missionary bishop subordinate directly to the Pope. He arrived in Poland, probably from Italy or the Rhineland, in 966 with Doubravka of Bohemia to baptise Mieszko I of Poland. After the death of Jordan until 992 the throne of the Bishop of Poland was vacant, or there was a bishop of unknown name (the first theory is more probable). His successor, from 992, was Unger.
