Tony Bin

Tony Bin (1983–2000) was an Irish-bred Thoroughbred racehorse who competed in Europe for his Italian owner from a base in Milan and became a leading sire in Japan.

Background

Bred by Pat O'Callaghan, Tony Bin was foaled on 7 April 1983. He was a son of Rathbarry Stud's Kampala and out of the mare Severn Bridge by Hornbeam. The colt was a descendant of the great Nearco through both his sire and his dam. O'Callaghan sold him for 3,000 guineas to the Allevamento White Star breeding and racing operation of Italian businessman Luciano Gaucci.

Racing career

Tony Bin was trained by Luigi Camici. At age two, his best result in a major race was a third in the GI Gran Criterium at Milan's San Siro Racecourse. As a three-year-old in 1986, he finished second in the GI Gran Premio del Jockey Club.

In 1987 at age four, Tony Bin won some of Italy's most prestigious Group One events, including the Gran Premio del Jockey Club, Premio Presidente della Repubblica and Gran Premio di Milano, repeating as winner of the latter two in 1988. Sent to race in France and England, he ran second in the 1988 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud and third to Mtoto in the 1988 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. In October, he beat Mtoto in France's most prestigious race, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

Tony (2013 film)

Tony (Kannada: ಟೋನಿ) is a 2013 philosophical thriller Kannada film directed by Jayatheertha. The film stars Srinagar Kitty and Aindrita Ray in lead roles. Indrakumar GV is producing this film jointly with Srinagar Kitty which is backed with Sadhu Kokila's music and Gnanamurthy's cinematography.

Shot extensively around the scenic locales of Bangkok and other places, the film speaks about a person who wants to make quick money and has three dimensional stories interwoven and ends up at a common point.

Director Jayatheertha, who made a successful previous film titled, Olave Mandara, announced his next feature film and titled it as Tony, a name which was already used in the Ambarish - Lakshmi starrer in the 1981s.

Promotion

Tony was widely promoted all across the Karnataka State. The film team also promoted in one of the most popular television shows, Bigg Boss hosted by actor Sudeep. The film is extensively shot in Bangalore, Mysore, Bangkok among other places. The film was also made news for spending big bucks for songs. Singer Raghu Dixit who crooned for a number in the film, performed at the sets. Sudeep also enthralled the audiences by singing a song.

Tony (Kannada: ಟೋನಿ) is a 1982 Kannada action film directed by H.R. Bhargava and produced by Mohan Sharma and Jairaj Singh. The film starred Ambarish, Lakshmi and Srinath in lead roles.

The film was a blockbuster with all the songs composed by Rajan-Nagendra considered evergreen hits. The same title name was reused in the 2013 feature film Tony.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs

Supervisory Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (portrayed by Mark Harmon) was born in Stillwater, Pennsylvania to Jackson Gibbs and Ann Gibbs. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1976, and became a Scout Sniper. After serving tours of duty in Panama and Iraq, he retired from the Marine Corps with the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. He joined NIS, which later became NCIS, after his wife Shannon and only daughter Kelly were murdered in 1991. He later traveled to Mexico and murdered the drug dealer responsible, a crime he kept concealed for twenty years. Since then, he has been married and divorced three times, and is currently single, although he has had a number of romantic relationships since his last divorce.

Gibbs leads a Major Case Response Team (MCRT) consisting of field agents DiNozzo, McGee, and Bishop; supported by forensic scientist Sciuto and medical examiner Dr. Mallard and his assistant. In the episode "Bête Noire" Gibbs comes face to face with terrorist Ari Haswari and tries to kill him but fails. Finding Ari later becomes an obsession for Gibbs when Ari shoots and kills original team member Kate Todd in front of Gibbs and DiNozzo in the season two finale, "Twilight". He often shows frustration with his team (particularly DiNozzo for rambling or McGee for getting sucked into technical rambling) by slapping them over the back of the head, an action that is later shared between team members with this known as a "headslap" or "Gibbs-slap".

Binary file

A binary file is a computer file that is not a text file. Many binary file formats contain parts that can be interpreted as text; for example, some computer document files containing formatted text, such as older Microsoft Word document files, contain the text of the document but also contain formatting information in binary form.

Structure

Binary files are usually thought of as being a sequence of bytes, which means the binary digits (bits) are grouped in eights. Binary files typically contain bytes that are intended to be interpreted as something other than text characters. Compiled computer programs are typical examples; indeed, compiled applications are sometimes referred to, particularly by programmers, as binaries. But binary files can also mean that they contain images, sounds, compressed versions of other files, etc. — in short, any type of file content whatsoever.

Some binary files contain headers, blocks of metadata used by a computer program to interpret the data in the file. The header often contains a signature or magic number which can identify the format. For example, a GIF file can contain multiple images, and headers are used to identify and describe each block of image data. The leading bytes of the header would contain text like GIF87a or GIF89a that can identify the binary as a GIF file. If a binary file does not contain any headers, it may be called a flat binary file.

Unix filesystem

In Unix and operating systems inspired by it, the file system is considered a central component of the operating system. It was also one of the first parts of the system to be designed and implemented by Ken Thompson in the first experimental version of Unix, dated 1969.

Like in other operating systems, the filesystem provides information storage and retrieval, as well as interprocess communication, in the sense that the many small programs that traditionally comprise a Unix system can store information in files so that other programs can read these, although pipes complemented it in this role starting with the Third Edition. Additionally, the filesystem provides access to other resources through so-called device files that are entry points to terminals, printers, and mice.

Principles

The filesystem appears as a single rooted tree of directories. Instead of addressing separate volumes such as disk partitions, removable media, and network shares as separate trees (as done in MS-DOS and Windows: each "drive" has a drive letter that denotes the root of its file system tree), such volumes can be "mounted" on a directory, causing the volume's file system tree to appear as that directory in the larger tree.
