Tongatapu is the main island of the Kingdom of Tonga and the location of its capital Nukuʻalofa. It is located in Tonga's southern island group, to which it gives its name, and is the country's most populous island, with approximately 71,260 residents (2006), 70.5% of the national population, on 260 km2. Its maximum height is 65m. Tongatapu is Tonga's centre of government and the seat of its monarchy.
Tongatapu, as a commercial and transport hub, has (led by Nukuʻalofa) experienced more rapid economic development than, as well as attracting many internal migrants from, the other islands of the Kingdom.
The island is 257.03 square kilometres (99.24 square miles) (or 260.48 km² with neighboring islands) and rather flat, as it is built of coral limestone. The island is covered with thick fertile soil consisting of volcanic ash from neighboring volcanoes. At the steep coast of the south, heights reach an average of 35m gradually decreasing towards the north. Tongatapu is highest in elevation around the villages of Fua'amotu and Nakolo with a height of 65m.
Tongatapu 3 is an electoral constituency for the Legislative Assembly in the Kingdom of Tonga. It was established for the November 2010 general election, when the multi-seat regional constituencies for People's Representatives were replaced by single-seat constituencies, electing one representative via the first past the post electoral system. Located on the country's main island, Tongatapu, it encompasses parts of Kolofoʻou and Maʻufanga (districts of the capital city Nukuʻalofa), and the entirety of the villages of Pahu, ʻAmaile, Fasi-moe-afi-ʻa-Tungi, Ngeleʻia, Mataika, and Halaleva.
Its first ever representative is Sitiveni Halapua, of the Democratic Party of the Friendly Islands. Halapua, a first time MP, defeated Clive Edwards, an incumbent MP and former Deputy Prime Minister. (Edwards was nonetheless subsequently appointed Minister for Justice, thus obtaining a seat in Parliament ex officio.) For the 2014 election, Halapua was deselected by the party, which endorsed Simote Vea as its candidate to replace him. Vea was defeated by independent candidate Siaosi Sovaleni, resulting in the DPFI losing the seat.
Tongatapu 10 is an electoral constituency for the Legislative Assembly in the Kingdom of Tonga. It was established for the November 2010 general election, when the multi-seat regional constituencies for People's Representatives were replaced by single-seat constituencies, electing one representative via the first past the post electoral system. Its first ever representative was Semisi Tapueluelu, a first time MP, representing the Democratic Party of the Friendly Islands.
Along with five other incumbent DPFI MPs, Semisi Tapueluelu was not selected as a DPFI candidate for this election, and announced he would be running as an independent candidate.

To the lovers, the haters, please congratulate us

I sent the boom-shaka-laka shaka-laka to your house
Don't let it smack ya in yo swagga-lackin' mouth

You in coach, you in da back
You go slow, I go fast
You shut down while I go blast

Just face it, you wasted
