Tom Lawson

Tom Lawson may refer to:

Tom Lawson (ice hockey)

Tom Lawson (born September 15, 1979) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He has since served as a goaltending coach at St. Andrew's College.

Playing career

Born in Whitby, Ontario, Lawson attending Henry Street High School and played junior hockey for the Markham Waxers hockey organization in 1998-99. He then joined Bowling Green State in Ohio and played for the hockey team on a scholarship as a freshman during the 1999–2000 season. He turned professional the next year with the Knoxville Speed of the United Hockey League and made his American Hockey League debut in a single contest with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.

In the 2002–03 season, Lawson was the starting goaltender for the Fort Wayne Komets and recorded a banner year in claiming the UHL Championship. He was selected as the league's best goaltender, playoff MVP and earning a place in the UHL First-All-Star Team. In the off-season, Lawson was signed to a NHL contract by the Colorado Avalanche.

Don Ferguson (Avalon)

Don C. C. Ferguson previously ran in the Canadian federal election, 1988 as a candidate for the New Democratic Party, and finished third with 4,489 votes behind Blaine Thacker of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada. In the Canadian federal election, 2000 he ran for the Greens and finished fifth with 944 votes behind Rick Casson of the Canadian Alliance. Mr. Ferguson is a professor.

Steve Durant (Humber—St. Barbe—Baie Verte)

Steve Durant lost to incumbent Gerry Byrne of the Liberal Party of Canada. Durant received 385 votes to Byrne's 17,820.

Lori-Ann Martino (Labrador)

Lori-Ann Martino lost to Lawrence O'Brien of the Liberal Party of Canada. Martino received 178 votes to O'Brien's 5,524. Martino was an organizer for the Green Party of Canada in Newfoundland and Labrador from March 2004 till June 2005. She also served as Jason Crummey's registered agent during the 2005 Labrador by-election.
