Tom Hamilton Jr.

Thomas Richard Hamilton Jr. (born December 31, 1978, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American songwriter, musician, and producer best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist for the bands Brothers Past,American Babies,Joe Russo's Almost Dead, Bill Kreutzmann's Billy & the Kids, and Electron.

Brothers Past

Hamilton formed Brothers Past in 1996, straight out of high school with classmates Joe D'Amico (bass), Nick Desiderio (drums), and his older brother Jim Hamilton (guitar). In 1998 Hamilton met Tom McKee and asked him to join the band as a keyboardist and vocalist. This initial line-up toured the Mid-Atlantic area heavily until 1999 when D'Amico, Desiderio, and the elder Hamilton brother left the band to pursue more normal life styes. Hamilton and McKee settled on hiring Clay Parnell and Rick Lowenberg as the new rhythm section in 2000 and began touring again in 2001.

Hamilton has been the primary songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist for Brothers Past, as well as co-producer for all of their recorded releases.

Tom Hamilton (broadcaster)

Tom Hamilton (born August 19, 1956 in Waterloo, Wisconsin) is an American sportscaster, primarily known as the chief radio play-by-play announcer for the Cleveland Indians Major League Baseball team. During the baseball offseason, Hamilton also calls college basketball games for the Big Ten Network.

Tom joined the Indians broadcast team for the 1990 season, after spending three years in the booth for the then AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Columbus Clippers.

He was paired with Indians legend Herb Score until 1997, when Score retired after 30 seasons. Hamilton became chief play by play announcer in the 1998 season, a position he still holds today. Because of his longevity and popularity, he is now considered to be the "voice of the Tribe."

In the offseason, Hamilton calls college basketball games (usually Ohio State games) for the Big Ten Network. Prior to the founding of the Big Ten Network, he served in the same capacity for ESPN Plus.

The Indians honored "Hammy" with a talking Tom Hamilton bobblehead night in 2008.

Thomas Hamilton is an American pop/electro/rock musician in Los Angeles, California. He performs under the stage name Hamilton.

Early life and career

Hamilton grew up in Orange County, California, and moved to Los Angeles as a teen.

Thomas got his first break in commercial music when two of his songs debuted on television. The MTV television series Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County used his track Alive. The E! Entertainment Television series Paradise City also used one of Hamilton's songs. He initially signed a development deal with J Records, but the label did not release any of his music.

Hamilton is signed to the Indie Pop Records label, based in Los Angeles. His contemporaries on the label include Dev, Marty James, Bobby Brackins, The Cataracs, and Yuna. Hamilton recently released an EP produced by the The Cataracs, after their collaboration on the Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit Like a G6. His previous collaborations with The Cataracs included Mr. Sexual and God Knows.
