The Toda people are a small pastoral community who live on the isolated Nilgiri plateau of Southern India. Before the 18th century, the Toda coexisted locally with other communities, including the Kota, and Kuruba, in a loose caste-like community organisation in which the Toda were the top ranking. The Toda population has hovered in the range 700 to 900 during the last century. Although an insignificant fraction of the large population of India, the Toda have attracted (since the late 18th century), "a most disproportionate amount of attention because of their ethnological aberrancy" and "their unlikeness to their neighbours in appearance, manners, and customs." The study of their culture by anthropologists and linguists would prove important in the creation of the fields of social anthropology and ethnomusicology.

Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon (/əˈlaɪʒuːˌɒn/;[olaɟuwɔ̃]; born January 21, 1963), formerly known as Akeem Olajuwon, is a Nigerian-American retired professional basketball player. From 1984 to 2002, he played the center position in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Houston Rockets, and the Toronto Raptors. He led the Rockets to back-to-back NBA championships in 1994 and 1995. In 2008, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Listed at 7 ft 0 in (2.13 m) (but closer to 6 ft 10 in (2.08 m) by his own admission), Olajuwon is considered one of the greatest centers ever to play the game. He was nicknamed "The Dream" during his basketball career, for his grace on and off the court.
Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Olajuwon traveled from his home country to play for the University of Houston under Coach Guy Lewis. His college career for the Cougars included three trips to the Final Four. Olajuwon was drafted by the Houston Rockets with the first overall selection of the 1984 NBA draft, a draft that included Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and John Stockton. He combined with the 7 ft 4 in (2.24 m) Ralph Sampson to form a duo dubbed the "Twin Towers". The two led the Rockets to the 1986 NBA Finals, where they lost in six games to the Boston Celtics. After Sampson was traded to the Warriors in 1988, Olajuwon became the Rockets' undisputed leader. He led the league in rebounding twice (1989, 1990) and blocks three times (1990, 1991, 1993).

Llevas la noche afuera
No sé dónde te has metido
Si vas probando otros labios
En cual cantina has caído
Miro a la luna enojada
Me siento en mi viejo sillón
Y por cada hora que pasa
Me fui un mucho tequila
Hasta que vuelvas ladrón
Coro
Y vas aprender de las mujeres
Aunque no vistan corbata
Llevamos los pantalones
Al verlos llorando cuando se los mata
Y vas aprender que las mujeres
Somos fuertes y sensatas
Al segundo que nos hieren
Si abrimos la puerta cerramos las patas
Serás hormiga en mi nido
Saco mi escoba y te barro
Si otro cuerpo has sentido
La vela en mi cuarto apago
Tal vez te llore esta noche
Ahorita ya salió el sol
Aunque regreses de rodillas
Te sirvo mucho de tequila
Y brindare por tu adiós
Coro
Y vas aprender de las mujeres
Aunque no vistan corbata
Llevamos los pantalones
Al verlos llorando cuando se los mata
Y vas aprender que las mujeres
Somos fuertes y sensatas
Al segundo que nos hieren
Si abrimos la puerta cerramos las patas (bis)
Fuertes y sensatas...
Cerramos las patas...
