Bunk Moreland

William "The Bunk" Moreland is a fictional character on the HBO drama The Wire, played by actor Wendell Pierce. Bunk's character is based on a retired Baltimore City Police Detective named Rick Requer and nicknamed "The Bunk", an officer who joined the force in 1964 as a Western District patrolman who eventually moved into the Homicide Division. Like his partner Jimmy McNulty, Bunk is shown to be a thoroughly competent and generally moral detective, with similar problems related to infidelity and alcohol abuse (although not to the extent of his partner). He is however more mindful than Jimmy of the "chain of command" in the department.

Character storyline

Bunk attended Edmondson High School in West Baltimore, where he played lacrosse. He lives in Randallstown, MD, a predominantly African American suburb of Baltimore, with wife Nadine and three children. Bunk worked as a patrolman in Baltimore's Southwestern District before becoming a homicide detective.

Season 1

Bunk serves as Jimmy McNulty's lone ally in the homicide unit, informing him of its happenings while chiding him for getting involved in the Barksdale case. He is also the primary investigator for the murder of William Gant, who testified against D'Angelo Barksdale. Omar Little informs Bunk that the shooter is a Barksdale soldier called Bird, and agrees to testify against him in court. Because of this, Bunk persuades his colleague Detective Cole not to arrest Omar for the murder of Stinkum. When Omar is at the police station, Bunk discovers they went to the same high school, beginning an ongoing association between the two.

Titans (Canadian TV series)

Titans is a Canadian docudrama series produced for the 1981/82 season by CBC and Citytv (Titans Television Limited). The premise features staged interviews involving Patrick Watson and an actor who portrays a historical figure, conceptually similar to Watson's earlier series, Witness to Yesterday.

The program began as a summer series on CBC Television starting 3 July 1981. The initial run ended 25 September 1981. A second run of the series aired from 18 April to 22 August 1982.

Bionicle characters consist of the various species and races that exist in the fictional universe of Lego's franchise Bionicle.

The universe is mostly inhabited by beings with a skeletal and muscular structure, but metallic armor rather than skin. Most beings' skulls are bare, and they wear Kanohi Masks, of which some enable psychokinetic feats.

The Matoran Universe

Matoran

The Matoran are a race of small humanoid beings, and the most common inhabitants of their namesake universe. A few become Toa at some point in their lives; but in their natural state, their elemental energies manifest as minor physical enhancements, and they cannot activate the powers of Kanohi Masks. Though they are among the weakest races, they will fight to the last for their homes and lives, and are able to create fortresses, weapons, defense machines, and whatever other tools they need. The Matoran live by the principles of Unity, Duty, and Destiny. All Water, Lightning, & Psionics Matoran are female; all others, with the exception of Light and Shadow, are male. Both Light and Shadow are mix-gender. Light Matoran, more commonly known as Av-Matoran, can change the colour of their armour and channel power through their weapons. Certain Matoran such as Fe-Matoran of iron and De-Matoran of sonics, have been reduced in number by the Brotherhood of Makuta.
