2010 Tirreno–Adriatico

The 2010 Tirreno–Adriatico was the 45th running of the Tirreno–Adriatico stage race. It started on 10 March and finished on 16 March. The race started in Livorno and ended San Benedetto del Tronto. The race was won by Stefano Garzelli after gaining 2 seconds in intermediate sprints in the last stage which tied him for first with Michele Scarponi; Garzelli held the tiebreaker, combined stage finishes.

Twenty-two teams started the race. These included sixteen UCI ProTour teams, including the provisionally-licensed Lampre–Farnese Vini, and six UCI Professional Continental teams. These teams, along with three others, also contested Milan–San Remo.

2006 Tirreno–Adriatico

The 41st Tirreno–Adriatico cycling race took place from March 8 to March 14, 2006, over seven stages. It was won by Dutchman Thomas Dekker of the Rabobank team. The points classification was won by Alessandro Petacchi and the King of the Mountains jersey went to José Joaquín Rojas.

Stage 1 - March 8: Tivoli – Tivoli, 167 km

Stage 3 - March 10: Avezzano – Paglieta, 183 km

General Classement leader Paolo Bettini crashed and was forced to retire from the race after 80 km following a tangle with Lars Bak of the CSC team.

Stage 4 - March 11: Paglieta – Civitanova Marche, 219 km

Stage 5 - March 12: Servigliano – Servigliano ITT, 20 km

This stage was an individual time trial.

Stage 6 - March 13: S.Benedetto Del Tronto – Torricella Sicura, 182 km

Stage 7 - March 14: Campli - S.Benedetto Del Tronto, 166 km

2014 Tirreno–Adriatico

The 2014 Tirreno–Adriatico was the 49th edition of the Tirreno–Adriatico cycling stage race, often known as the Race of the Two Seas. It started on 12 March in Donoratico and ended on 18 March in San Benedetto del Tronto, and consisted of seven stages, including a team time trial to begin the race and an individual time trial to conclude it. It was the third race of the 2014 UCI World Tour season.

The race was won by Spain's Alberto Contador of Tinkoff–Saxo, who took the lead after winning his second successive stage on the fifth stage – following on from a win in the race's queen stage to Cittareale – and held the lead until the finish in San Benedetto del Tronto, to become the first Spanish rider to win the race since Óscar Freire in 2005. Contador won the general classification by two minutes and five seconds over runner-up Nairo Quintana of the Movistar Team, while Contador's team-mate Roman Kreuziger completed the podium, nine seconds behind Quintana and two minutes and fourteen seconds down on Contador.
