Tiger is an ABBA song featured on their 1976 album Arrival.

Performance

In the 1977 concert tours, the song was preceded by "the sound of helicopters booming over the speakers".

In the ABBA tribute band concert Live Music of Abba by the Arrival From Sweden, Tiger was the show opener.

Critical reception

Bright lights, dark shadows: the real story of Abba described the song as "rocky". The Guardian described the song as "gripping".

An American Tail

An American Tail is a 1986 American animated musical adventure film directed by Don Bluth and produced by Sullivan Bluth Studios and Amblin Entertainment. It tells the story of Fievel Mousekewitz and his family as they immigrate from Russia to the United States for freedom. However, he gets lost and must find a way to reunite with them. Steven Spielberg's first foray into animation and his first with Bluth, it was released on November 21, 1986 to positive reviews and was a box office hit, making it the highest-grossing non-Disney animated film at the time. The success of it, The Land Before Time, and Disney's Who Framed Roger Rabbit, as well as Bluth's departure from their partnership, prompted Spielberg to establish his own animation studio, Amblimation, which would later become DreamWorks Animation, which he cofounded with Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen.

Plot

In 1885, Shostka, Russia, the Mousekewitzes—a Russian-Jewish family of mice—who live with a human family named Moskowitz are having a celebration of Hanukkah where Papa gives his hat to his son, Fievel, and tells of a wonderful place called America, where there are no cats. The celebration is interrupted when a battery of Cossacks ride through the village square in an arson attack and their cats likewise attack the village mice.

Harimau! Harimau!

Harimau! Harimau! (translated as Tiger!) is an Indonesian novel written by Mochtar Lubis and originally published in 1975. Written in a Madiun prison as a response to Indonesians following President Sukarno's leadership without question, it tells the story of seven dammar collectors who are attacked by a tiger on their way back to their village and are unable to be saved by their charismatic leader. The book was critically acclaimed, receiving the Best Book award from the Indonesian Department of Education and Culture. It has been translated into English, Dutch and Mandarin.

Writing

When he was an adolescent, Mochtar Lubis often trekked into the jungles of Sumatra. Lubis later wrote that two events during this period, seeing a well-built yet abandoned hut and having a close call with a tiger, served partly as his inspiration for Harimau! Harimau! Further inspiration was drawn while he was imprisoned, where he thought of the charismatic leadership held by both Sukarno and traditional dukun, or witch doctors, and the frailty of such power.

Dust (DJ Muggs album)

Dust is a 2003 album released by Cypress Hill producer DJ Muggs. It is a departure from his previous works, as it is more of a trip hop, rock, electronica based CD. The album was originally released on ANTI- Records, then re-released on ANTI-'s sister label, Epitaph Records, on May 8, 2007. The album features vocals by Josh Todd, Greg Dulli, Amy Trujillo, and Everlast.

DJ Muggs is often credited just as "Muggs" for this album.

Dust 514

Dust 514 (stylized as EVE: DUST 514) is a free-to-play first-person shooter developed by CCP Games for the PlayStation 3.Dust 514 takes place in New Eden and is directly connected to CCP's game Eve Online. There is direct interaction between the two; player actions in one game affect the political, economic, and social status of the other. The two games were officially connected on January 10, 2013, while the open beta started on January 22, 2013. The full game was released worldwide on May 14, 2013. While previews of the game were highly positive, the full game received a mixed reception upon its initial release although it has made numerous improvements with constant updates and hotfixes. The game will be shut down by CCP on May 30, 2016.

Setting

Dust 514 takes place in the same fictional universe as Eve Online, a science-fiction massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set 21,000 years in the future. The Eve Online backstory explains that humanity, after using up the Earth's resources, began to colonize the rest of the Milky Way. The development of faster-than-light travel allowed mankind to expand at an extremely fast pace, leading to violent competition between space-faring corporations. A natural wormhole was discovered, and humanity entered through it to find an empty new galaxy which they began colonizing. However, the wormhole connecting the two galaxies collapsed, leaving the young colonies cut off from the worlds that had supplied them. Without support, many of the colonies in the new galaxy died off, and over time the few that remained lost their knowledge of both their technology and of their origins from Earth. Eventually, a new era began when civilization was rebuilt and faster-than-light travel was rediscovered. Five unique space-faring cultures emerged from the colonies to become the only interstellar powers in the new galaxy; the Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, Jove and Minmatar.
