"Ticket to the Moon" is a popular song written by Jeff Lynne and performed by Electric Light Orchestra (ELO).
It was track four on the album Time (1981) and was released as a Double A along with "Here Is the News" in January 1982, reaching number 24 in the UK charts. The song is somewhat reminiscent of their earlier output, featuring grand piano and more strings than their past few singles. Rainer Pietsch conducted the strings on the song. The promo video featured Mik Kaminski on violin.
The single was also released as a limited edition 12" picture disc showing the ELO spaceship, The same image was later used as the sleeve design for the UK follow up single "The Way Life's Meant to Be".
The name was used for a compilation album in 2007, "Ticket to the Moon: The Very Best of Electric Light Orchestra Volume 2".
Ticket to the Moon (TTTM) is a private company established through the invention of the Parachute Hammock. The company is based in Bali, Indonesia and their products are distributed to over 35 countries worldwide. The company prefers to be building a tribe rather than a business allowing followers to be a part of the company’s vision. The brand is found in over 1000 retailers worldwide including Amazon.com, Northland, Au vieux Campeur , AS Adventures.
The company was created in 1996 by Charles-Antoine Descotis via his adventure of travelling through India, where he enjoyed living and sleeping in hammocks for two years. At that time he was using the self made hammock made from polyester, mostly to protect himself from insects and dirt. When he arrived in Bali, he discovered a nylon material. He recognized the potential of the material as it was light, durable, elastic, breathable, anti-mildew and skin-friendly so he began making hammocks from this. His hammocks initially were made in his own home, and eventually he opened a small factory in Kerobokan, Bali in 2004 with 20 employees. Since then, the company has continued to grow and its hammocks have gained popularity reaching adventurers and dreamers from all over the world.

To the Moon is a 2011 role-playing adventure video game developed and published by Freebird Games. It is the fourth video game by Canadian designer/composer Kan "Reives" Gao and the first commercial production by his indie game development team Freebird Games, and was designed using the RPG Maker XP engine. To the Moon was originally released on the author's website and various digital download portals, and was later made available via Steam for Microsoft Windows on November 1, 2011. On January 7, 2014, the game was released with the Humble Indie Bundle X, making it available for OS X and Linux.
To the Moon was nominated for many awards, and was voted the best indie RPG of 2011.
To the Moon is built on the RPG Maker XP engine, which is used to create 16-bit 2D role-playing games, in the style of Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. However, unlike a typical RPG, To the Moon has no battle system (aside from a joke battle near the beginning), inventory system or party system. The game's focus, being a more story-driven game, is around puzzle solving, interpreting information from the subject Johnny's life, and finding ways to get deeper into his memories.
Trust in Few is the debut and only album of Ocala metalcore band We Are Defiance, released in March 2011.
The band announced that Tyler "Telle" Smith of The Word Alive and Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria would be featured on one track each. Smith was featured on the track "Not Another Song About You", though Worsnop was pulled off Trust in Few by his label Sumerian due to the fact the bands' records came out too close together.
The album was produced by ex-A Day to Remember guitarist Tom Denney, who also engineered, mixed and mastered the album at Diamond Studios in Ocala, Florida.
Originally set for release on March 15, the release was delayed after a car accident the band had while touring through the US at the beginning of 2011, when lead vocalist Brian Calzini was brought into the hospital.
"To the Moon", "I'm Gonna Bury You Underground Eli" and "Weight of the Sea" were all released as singles prior to the album's release, with a music video shot for "It's Not a Problem Unless You Make It One".
Remember the good old 1980s?
When things were so uncomplicated?
I wish I could go back there again
And everything could be the same.
I've got a ticket to the moon
I'll be leaving here any day soon
Yeah, I've got a ticket to the moon
But I'd rather see the sunrise in your eyes.
Got a ticket to the moon
I'll be rising high above the earth so soon
And the tears I cry might turn into the rain
That gently falls upon your window
You'll never know.
CHORUS:
Ticket to the moon (ticket to the moon)
Ticket to the moon (ticket to the moon)
Ticket to the moon (ticket to the moon).
Fly, fly through a troubled sky
Up to a new world shining bright, oh, oh.
Flying high above
Soaring madly through the mysteries that come
Wondering sadly if the ways that led me here
Could turn around and I would see you there
Standing there (and I would see you there, waiting...)
Ticket to the moon
Flight leaves here today from Satellite Two
As the minutes go by, what should I do?
I paid the fare, what more can I say?
It's just one way (only one way)...
REPEAT CHORUS:
REPEAT CHORUS:
