"Threads" is an episode from Season 8 of the science fiction television series Stargate SG-1. Amanda Tapping won a Leo Award in the category "Dramatic Series: Best Lead Performance - Female" and Michael Shanks was nominated for a Leo Award in the category "Dramatic Series: Best Lead Performance - Male" for this episode.

Plot

Ba'al is still missing, but the Jaffa have finally won their freedom after millennia of enslaved service to the Goa'uld. At the Temple of Dakara, Teal'c and Bra'tac are awarded the title Bloodkin by the new Free Jaffa Nation, following the defeat of the Replicators and the Goa'uld. Jack O'Neill refuses to accept that Daniel Jackson is dead, believing that Daniel has managed to Ascend. Because they know Daniel was on RepliCarter's ship when it was destroyed, there is little chance he is still alive.

Daniel finds himself in a strange ethereal diner (Same diner in the series Dead like Me) full of people, Daniel recognizes Oma Desala. He learns that this place is a projection of a meeting place for Ascended beings. The diner is full of other Ascended Ancients, who refuse to speak with Daniel because of the rules of the Ascended. One other man, Jim, seems to be arguing with Oma, and shows Daniel a newspaper detailing Anubis' plan to retake Dakara and use the Dakara Superweapon to kill all life in the galaxy. Luring most of the Jaffa away, Anubis regains the weapon when he recaptures Dakara.

Stargate SG-1

Stargate SG-1 (often abbreviated as SG-1) is an adventure and military science fiction television series and part of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's Stargate franchise. The show, created by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner, is based on the 1994 science fiction film Stargate by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich. The television series was filmed in and around the city of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The series premiered on Showtime on July 27, 1997; the final episode first aired on Sky1 on March 13, 2007. With 214 episodes over 10 seasons, Stargate SG-1 had surpassed The X-Files as the longest-running North American science fiction television series, a record it holds to this day, regarding the time span it was running. However, regarding the number of episodes, it has since been surpassed by the series Smallville with 218 episodes, and Supernatural with 228.

The story of Stargate SG-1 begins about a year after the events of the feature film, when the United States government learns that an ancient alien device called the Stargate can access a network of such devices on a multitude of planets. SG-1 is an elite United States Air Force special operations team, one of about 20 teams from Earth who explore the galaxy and defend against alien threats such as the Goa'uld, the Replicators, and the Ori. The series draws primarily upon Egyptian mythology, Greek mythology, Norse mythology, and Arthurian legend.

Season seven of Stargate SG-1, an American-Canadian television series, began airing on June 13, 2003 on Sci Fi. The seventh season concluded after 22 episodes on March 9, 2004 on British Sky One, which overtook the Sci-Fi Channel in mid-season. The series was developed by Brad Wright and Jonathan Glassner. Season seven regular cast members include Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Michael Shanks, and Don S. Davis.

Production

With "Fallen", Michael Shanks (Dr. Daniel Jackson) rejoins the cast, and Corin Nemec (Jonas Quinn) gets billed as a "Guest Star" (besides "Fallen"/"Homecoming", he would have his only other guest appearance later in "Fallout"). George Touliatos previously played Pyrus, Shyla's father, in "Need." The scenes with the Goa'uld motherships flying in hyperspace are actually stock footage from the Season 2 episode "The Serpent's Lair." Director Martin Wood has a cameo in "Fallen" as the man in the elevator with Jonas at the beginning of the episode. Peter DeLuise, who directed "Fragile Balance", provided the voice of Loki in the same episode. Christopher Heyerdahl, who played Pallan in "Revisions", would later play the recurring characters of Halling and the Wraith 'Todd' on Stargate Atlantis. Peter LaCroix previously played the Ashrak in "In the Line of Duty".

Threads (Temposhark album)

Threads is the second album by UK band, Temposhark, a project of singer/songwriter Robert Diament.

History

Temposhark's second album was produced, co-written and recorded in 2009 in London by producer Sean McGhee. The first single "The World Does Not Revolve Around You" was released in September 2009. The album includes 11 brand new songs with two bonus dance remixes of the title track by Morgan Page and MaJiKer. Threads was released on 5 April 2010 as a digital download and reached #15 in the iTunes Top 20 electronic albums in the UK. The digital version of the album includes 2 bonus remixes and downloadable artwork in PDF form. The album reached the Top 20 in CMJ's college radio albums chart in March 2010. So far, two videos have been released from Threads for the singles "Bye Bye Baby" (directed by Ben Charles Edwards) and "The World Does Not Revolve Around You" (directed by Doyle Hooper).

Violinist Sophie Solomon plays violin solos on the tracks "Say I'm Sorry" and "Green Lights". Solomon originally collaborated with Temposhark on their first album The Invisible Line and Temposhark also remixed her single "Holy Devil" in 2006. Simon Neilson of rock band The Gadsdens plays piano on the album's closing song "The Last Time I Saw Matthew", written about a friend of Diament's who had died.

White Collar is a crime/mystery television series that premiered on October 23, 2009, on the USA Network. The series stars Matt Bomer as Neal Caffrey, a former conman, forger and thief, and Tim DeKay as FBI agent Peter Burke. The pair form an unlikely partnership as they work together to apprehend white collar criminals. The series also stars Willie Garson as Mozzie, an old friend of Neal's who occasionally aids the FBI in their investigations; Tiffani Thiessen as Elizabeth Burke, Peter's wife; and Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins as agents Diana Berrigan and Clinton Jones, respectively. Natalie Morales appeared in the first season as agent Lauren Cruz. Hilarie Burton was introduced in the second season as Sara Ellis, a love interest for Neal. White Collar aired its first season of 14 episodes in two parts, which premiered in 2009 and 2010. This was followed by a second season, comprising 16 episodes. The first group of nine episodes aired in summer 2010, while the remaining seven aired in winter 2011. The third season began airing in 2011 and ended in 2012. The first 10 episodes of the season aired in summer 2011, while the remaining six began airing in winter 2012. The series was renewed for a fourth season comprising 16 episodes, which began airing in July 2012. A fifth season which was renewed for 16 episodes, later reduced to 13, started airing in October 2013. On March 2014, the series was renewed for a sixth season, which was confirmed to be its final season the following September. The season premiered on November 6, 2014. Threads (EP)

Threads is the debut solo extended play (EP) by British recording artist and former Girls Aloud singer, Sarah Harding. It was released on 7 August 2015 by Underdog Management Limited.

Background and recording

In 2009 after Girls Aloud began an initial year-long hiatus, Harding began working on solo material and also began acting.

Harding took a break from recording her solo material in 2012 to return to Girls Aloud for their Ten greatest hits album and tour. Their split was announced in March 2013.

In 2014, Harding performed a showcase in Islington, London where she performed new song, "L.O.V.E" amongst hits by her former group. She later appeared in BBC One gymastics series, Tumble. She reached the top three.

Release and promotion

To promote the single and EP, Harding embarked on a radio tour and also appeared on television programmes such as ITV's Lorraine and This Morning.
