La Luna (Sarah Brightman album)

La Luna (Italian and Spanish for "the moon") is the seventh album recorded by English soprano Sarah Brightman in 2000. It was released under license by Nemo Studios to Angel Records. The album combines pieces written by classical and modern composers. The classical pieces are "How Fair This Place" ("Здесь хорошо") by Rachmaninov; "Figlio Perduto", which is based on Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 Op. 92, 2nd movement in A minor "Allegretto"; Solo Con Te (Handel - Dank Sei Dir, Herr); Aria "La Luna" from Opera Rusalka. With La Luna, Brightman combined elements of her traditional operatic background with her newer style of pop music. "Hijo de la Luna" (translating to "Son of the Moon" in Spanish) is a cover originally performed by the Spanish synthpop band Mecano. Written by Ennio Morricone, "La Califfa" is the title track of the 1970 Italian film with the same name. The underlying concept of the album is the moon. It is the 17th top-selling classical album of the 2000s in the US, according to Nielsen SoundScan, and is Brightman's second highest seller in the country after her 1997 release Timeless/Time to Say Goodbye. Aside from the US, the album experienced its strongest sales in Asia, where it received a quintuple platinum certification in Taiwan, earned Brightman's first Gold award in Japan and currently remains as the best-selling classical album of all-time in China by a non-Asian artist. It was certified Diamond by the Chinese Administration of Radio, Film, and Television.

Coming Down (album)

Coming Down is the first solo album from former Bauhaus, Tones on Tail, and Love and Rockets guitar player Daniel Ash. First single "This Love" was a #2 hit on the Modern Rock Tracks chart in the U.S., where his former bandmates Peter Murphy and David J had already scored Top 10 hits. Natasha Atlas sings and plays instruments on most tracks.

"This Love" is a single by American country pop recording artist, LeAnn Rimes from her Greatest Hits album (2003). It was released as the sole single from the greatest hits album on February 3, 2004 and was later included on her international Best of (2004) album. The song is co-written by Rimes herself along with Marc Beeson and Jim Collins.

The single peaked at number thirty-seven on the Billboard Country Songs chart and internationally it peaked at fifty-four on the UK Singles Chart and twenty-six on the Irish Singles Chart.

A live performance was used as the music video for the song.

Rubixanthin

Rubixanthin, or natural yellow 27, is a natural xanthophyll pigment with a red-orange color found in rose hips. As a food additive it used under the E number E161d as a food coloring; it is not approved for use in the USA or EU but is approved in Australia and New Zealand where it is listed as 161d.

Lycopene

Lycopene from the neo-Latin lycopersicum, the tomato species, is a bright red carotene and carotenoid pigment and phytochemical found in tomatoes and other red fruits and vegetables, such as red carrots, watermelons, gac, and papayas, although not in strawberries, or cherries. Although lycopene is chemically a carotene, it has no vitamin A activity. Foods that are not red may also contain lycopene, such as asparagus or parsley.

In plants, algae, and other photosynthetic organisms, lycopene is an important intermediate in the biosynthesis of many carotenoids, including beta carotene, which is responsible for yellow, orange, or red pigmentation, photosynthesis, and photo-protection. Like all carotenoids, lycopene is a polyunsaturated hydrocarbon, i.e. an unsubstituted alkene. Structurally, lycopene is a tetraterpene and assembled from eight isoprene units that are composed entirely of carbon and hydrogen. It is insoluble in water. Lycopene's eleven conjugated double bonds give its deep red color and its antioxidant activity. Owing to the strong color, lycopene is a useful food coloring (registered as E160d) and is approved for usage in the USA, Australia and New Zealand (registered as 160d) and the EU.

Caramel color

Caramel color or caramel coloring is a water-soluble food coloring. It is made by heat treatment of carbohydrates, in general in the presence of acids, alkalis, or salts, in a process called caramelization. It is more fully oxidized than caramel candy, and has an odor of burnt sugar and a somewhat bitter taste. Its color ranges from pale yellow to amber to dark brown.

Caramel color is one of the oldest and most widely used food colorings, and is found in many commercially produced foods and beverages, including batters, beer, brown bread, buns, chocolate, cookies, cough drops, spirits and liquor such as brandy, rum, and whisky, chocolate-flavored confectionery and coatings, custards, decorations, fillings and toppings, potato chips, dessert mixes, doughnuts, fish and shellfish spreads, frozen desserts, fruit preserves, glucose tablets, gravy, ice cream, pickles,sauces and dressings, soft drinks (especially colas), sweets, vinegar, and more. Caramel color is widely approved for use in food globally but application and use level restrictions vary by country.
