Theodore (name)

Theodore is a masculine given name. It comes from the Greek name Θεόδωρος (Theodōros) meaning "God's gift" (from the Greek words Θεός, (theos) "God" and δώρον (dōron) "gift"). Although the most famous Theodore in the pre-Christian era was Theodorus the Atheist (Θεόδωρος ο Άθεος ~340BC - ~250BC), the name was popular among early Christians and was borne by several saints.

Theodore is a cancelled computer-animated (CGI) show was produced by Cosgrove Hall Films for CBBC, about a Nuclear Organisation called "Radioactive Science and Technology Station" (RSTS), one of the workers Theodore the Main Character. It never aired due to ITV's absorbing of Cosgrove-Hall.

Theodore Racing

Theodore Racing (徳利賽車隊香港) was a Formula One constructor from Hong Kong founded by real estate magnate and millionaire Teddy Yip. They participated in 51 grands prix, entering a total of 64 cars.

In the present day Theodore Racing is an international motor racing team owned by Teddy Yip Jr. competing in the Macau Grand Prix with a Junior Team contesting the Japanese Super FJ Series.

Following its last race in 1992, the team made a successful return to racing at the Macau Grand Prix in 2013 under Teddy Yip Jnr, owner of GP3 team Status Grand Prix.

Theodore Racing achieved a record seventh Macau GP victory in 2013 with Red Bull Junior driver Alex Lynn. In 2014, the team fielded Estaban Ocon, Nicholas Latifi and Ferarri Academy driver Antonio Fuoco, with an accident preventing Ocon from claiming the win. The team returned to Macau in 2015 with a 3-car entry fielding reigning Macau, and 2015 European FIA F3 Champion, Felix Rosenqvist alongside Formula 3 front-runners Lance Stroll and Jake Dennis. Rosenqvist dominated the event, claiming a record eighth Macau GP victory for Theodore Racing.

Name

A name is a term used for identification. Names can identify a class or category of things, or a single thing, either uniquely, or within a given context.
